If you are in the US, check with Neal Stepp at International Shooters Service. Neal is very old fashioned, and getting up in years. You HAVE to call him, be patient & prepared to call and remind him.

My case developed some cracks around the hinges, and I looked into getting a replacement through Neal Stepp at ISS. It was going to cost (if I remember correctly) well over $200. It took some fussy fiddling, but I decided to replace the hinges with a small piano hinge. That was probably 6 years ago....

I haven't tried it myself, but some shooters swear by rolling a small cone of masking tape, and lighting the tip. Apparently it makes a fair amount of really sooty smoke.

I've generally had good luck with American brand targets when Krugers weren't available. I use their 50 yard free pistol targets, and they are fine.
