Re: Morini 84E Case Replacement Options

Before you can remove the grip, you need to remove the electronics. Take the plate off the bottom, and pull the circuit board out. If I remember correctly, there is one screw that holds the grip on, and it's up inside the electronics cavity, towards the back of the grip, above the switch area. Altho...

Re: Replacement Front Sights for Walther GSP

Measure the width of what you've got. This in an international forum. No one can tell you where to get a replacement if we don't know where you live.

Re: Morini 84E Front Sights

If you are in the US, check with Neal Stepp at International Shooters Service. Neal is very old fashioned, and getting up in years. You HAVE to call him, be patient & prepared to call and remind him.

Re: Morini 84E Case Replacement Options

My case developed some cracks around the hinges, and I looked into getting a replacement through Neal Stepp at ISS. It was going to cost (if I remember correctly) well over $200. It took some fussy fiddling, but I decided to replace the hinges with a small piano hinge. That was probably 6 years ago....

Re: New Inexpensive Air Gun Chronograph

You are welcome! I have to do all sorts of odd things to support the college team I work with. It's silly to do all that work and then hide it away. Being mostly retired means I have time to document & share stuff. It also means that if I get hit by a bus (or a heart attack), the next team armor...

Re: How Do I Fix My Sights?

I haven't tried it myself, but some shooters swear by rolling a small cone of masking tape, and lighting the tip. Apparently it makes a fair amount of really sooty smoke.

Re: How do I know my grip fits me?

The most important thing is that it fits well enough (in the right places) so that EVERY time you pick up the pistol, you know your grip is the same. Some of that is the grip, but a lot of it is practice. ALWAYS use your non-shooting hand to deliberately seat the pistol into your shooting hand. For ...

Re: LP50 Shoots Fine, But Doesn't Cock When Dry Firing?

I haven't tried to dry fire mine recently. It hadn't occurred to me that the re-cocking process is partly determined by how easy the back pressure can reset the trigger, so cleaning & lubrication makes sense. I found the following videos online on the LP50 trigger: https://www.youtube.com/watch?...

Re: Morini 162EI Grips

I ordered three Rink grips for Benelli Kites on October 10th last year for the team I help coach. They arrived in late February. Some of that is shipping & customs delays, but it took about 3 months to ship. I think there's been a flood of orders due to the sudden interest in Olympic air pistol ...

Re: Adjusting the recoil buffer Morini CM22 RF

5th round feed failures are consistent with a dirty magazine. The upward force from the spring is at its weakest, and getting the 5th round up properly (and on time) can be hampered by a build up of fouling and/or bullet lube. The weirdest example of this (which I've observed on three different Bene...

Re: CMP South Match POSTPONED to 30March Sunday

Well, they almost pulled it off. They have 20 mph winds today in Talladega, and a bank of the electronic targets got blown over in the middle of the 2nd relay of Standard pistol. The Standard portion of the National Championship will be re-shot as a postal match once everyone gets home...

Re: Free pistol target source

The story I heard when Kruger USA stopped importing targets was that it was because Kruger targets were no longer NRA certified, and couldn't be used in matches. Apparently the NRA went on a "Made in America" kick, and refused to certify any non-US made targets. The Kruger targets you can ...

Re: New Inexpensive Air Gun Chronograph

The FX is supposed to be very nice, but the current version is also literally about ten times the price of the HT-X3006. The latest version ("V2") uses a rechargeable battery.

I'm not sure if he ships internationally, but Precision Target Pistol Grips can 3D print you a custom grip for a lot less money than other options.

Re: Federal Target Ammo

All of the Federal I have tried in recent years was junk. 711B in particular, but I tried a couple flavors several years ago. It wouldn't cycle any of my semi-auto pistols, AND I had misfires. I will never buy any more Federal. It's a shame, because it used to be very good. I have two cases of 711 (...

Re: CMP South Match POSTPONED to 30March Sunday

The Collegiate National Championships are being shot right now. Air pistol was at Anniston yesterday, with Sport Pistol today & Standard pistol Saturday at Talladega. Today looks OK, but storms are moving in late Saturday, hopefully after the match is over. The 25m events are on electronic targe...

I've generally had good luck with American brand targets when Krugers weren't available. I use their 50 yard free pistol targets, and they are fine.

That part of my shot process is pretty well under control, and I don't recall having an issue with it for several decades. The same cannot be said for my trigger control, now that I am old & a bit shaky.

Re: New Inexpensive Air Gun Chronograph

I just shipped the team I help coach off to the Collegiate National Championships, so I have a short break to catch up on stuff. I'll try to get those two up first, possibly in a day or so. The models were mostly created from one or two pistols, so with manufacturing variations, there may be some to...
