Thank you, I appreciate the recommendation.
I’ll keep it in mind as an option if I can’t find an older style one. They seem similar.

WTB :Old style leather coat
Hello all, I’m looking for an old style (80’s ish) all leather smallbore shooting coat. Either a Hawkeye or Champions Choice would be great. I want the three or five button type ( no straps). They used to be called ISU coats ( not the heavier quilted nra style). I need size 44 or possibly 46 could w...

Re: Gehmann polarizer
Thank you for the reply.
I am in Florida and the range is outdoor and not baffled.
Sounds like it might be worth a try.
I appreciate the help and information.

Gehmann polarizer
Hello all,
Does anyone have any experience using a gehmann 551?
I’m specifically curious about whether the polarization makes much of a difference in sight picture glare/ quality.
Thanks

Re: International firearm purchase question
Thanks to everyone for the help with this.
I appreciate it.
After considering it, I’ve decided that the added expense and headache make the the purchase a no-go.

International firearm purchase question
Does anyone have experience or knowledge about purchasing a rifle from a UK gun shop online and more specifically what’s necessary to get that rifle here to the US? I’m interested in what the expense would be to get it here as well as what paperwork might be necessary. I found a rifle I would like t...

1813 action help
Hello all, Please help me with a self inflicted problem. So I was trying to adjust the trigger on my 1813 to a single stage and I apparently screwed something up. I was adjusting the first stage weight screw and set screw(#4 and 5) and repeatedly cocking and testing the trigger. After a few cycles ,...

Re: Qualification then Finals Format? (spoiler alert)
Hi, jhmartin, I was actually referring to the way the NCAA finals were back when I was in school(when dinosaurs roamed the earth) We had a straight 3 x40 course for smallbore (no decimals) and a 60 shot air rifle. Pretty straightforward. I can appreciate what you’re saying about the added pressure a...

Re: Qualification then Finals Format? (spoiler alert)
I guess I just don’t understand why it’s necessary to have a qualification and then a final(with different formats for that matter). What would be so bad(wrong, unfair etc,) with just firing a straight up plain old 3x40 course and awarding the top three? All of these shooters are highly skilled and ...

Re: Anschutz barrel measurements
Thank you all for the help.
I didn’t realize that calipers/ micrometers were that inexpensive. I’d never looked for one and just had it in my head they were upwards of$100.
Thanks again for the quick replies, advice, and Devi for the pics. Looks like I’m off to the store.
Stay safe all.

Re: Anschutz barrel measurements
Yeah, I figured that might be the case.
Just thought there was a “standard” measurement for stock barrels. Trying to avoid having to go buy a micrometer. Thanks for the reply, it’s appreciated.

Anschutz barrel measurements
Hello all, Technical question about my rifle. Do any of you happen to know the barrel diameter of an Anschutz 1413 ( circa 1974) ? I’m considering a tuner and I unfortunately do not have a micrometer readily available. The length appears to be 27 1/4” and my handy dandy ruler shows the barrel tip to...

Re: Anschutz 1413/1813
Thank you Tim, I appreciate the information. What I was interested in doing was picking up an 1813 barreled action and putting it into a 1974 1413 stock I have.

Re: Anschutz 1413/1813
Thank you for the help. I was actually asking about a 1413 stock rather than a 1411. I assume the information you gave would apply to either one?

Anschutz 1413/1813
Hello all,
Calling on your expertise. May be an easy question for some of you. Does anyone know if an 1813 barreled action will drop into an older 1413 stock(wing style safety). Any modifications needed?
Thanks in advance.
