Re: Rebarrel .22 Anschutz (UK)

Thanks Kenny and Tim - both great advice. I've had a few misfires with tenex (they look decent strikes), which could suggest that I need to look at the firing pin and spring before the barrel. Yes, its a short barrel, so again, I should give it a good clean with the tube off - I will admit to not h...

Re: Anschutz Bullpup

It was the bullpup discussion on the KK500 that prompted me to start this thread. i have only 1 question. how much to make another one? As for cost to produce I am too commited to produce any more.If...

If I was going to the trouble to make a bolt I would make one with a 6 o'clock firing pin.
Anyone keen?

I shoot with an Anschutz 2013 and BSA MK1 and Mk 3.
If you can get into position comfortably you can shoot with these old BSA's
I use an SKP buttplate centred on boreline, non permanent material to modify cheekpiece and handstop rail.

After several years of prone shooting, I removed the Lilja for housecleaning and when I put it back on the accuracy was not what it was. I have no idea why, but I understand that this is a common complaint with the 2013 action. I changed out my short barrel because it stopped shooting. A few years ...

They are still in production.I use one with a short and a long barrel depending on ammo available at the time.I test batches of ammo with both barrels and use the best combination.

This is reasonably common with the Eley we get. On the end of each case of 5000 the batch number is shown. Some cases have more than one batch shown. If more than one batch is shown on the case then the change from one batch to the next occurs when one runs out and the other starts-even in a brick o...

I always thought that a small amount of white was better. One day I did an experiment. With a 0.5 diopter in the front I shot a normal English style (gallery?)target. I then turned the target around so only the shot holes were showing. At 20 yards and the shot holes just visible I shot them again. Su...

After Kenny Bs post which explained similar problems I was having I moved my sling from high up my arm to about 1/3 up from my elbow.
Shoulder pain gone and less pressure on my cheap jacket making it move down my arm taking the sling with it.And bonus-a few good results.
Thanks all

I use snapcaps for training.I treat each session like a competition.Load -routine- fire etc then unload.By completely loading and unloading each cap the next time I load them they should get a hit in a different place. This helps them last longer and makes training more realistic.

Hi Greg.

5mm stainless tube tapped for button head screw.
Circlip to hold in place running on plastic low friction bearing out of dead printer that pushes on shortened trigger.
I am now modifying this to take miniature rod ends to get more clearance above top of thumb.

Everthing is fine except for the area behind the pistol grip. I am modifying to get my thumb more comfotable. This means redesigning the trigger mechanism which was set up that to set the action back. My 2013 action is back in the original wood at the moment and I am adapting the alloy stock for a ro...
