Re: Question on Rules

You probably already know this, the latest rulebook on the ISSF website says it is published Jan 2017. I don't know if it is the 2014 with a new date, or if the new rules are in it. It does say that weights may not be taped on, so at least that new rule is in there. http://www.issf-sports.org/theiss...

Re: SHOOTING JACKET MODIFICATION/ALTERATION

We have extended 2 coats by adding canvas material, and they both passed USAS inspection. Stagger the inside and outside seams so the seams are not on top of each other which will cause it to be too thick. Any chance that you can send me pictures of the inside & outside of the jacket? It would ...

Re: New ISSF Rules - Partial Summary

USAS changed the match bulletin for Winter Airgun today. The new rules will apply. Wow. A month out from a selection match and the rules get significantly changed? Seriously?

My first stop for items like this is Neal Stepp at International Shooters Service. I'll bet he has one in stock.

When you get your new foam cut, please post a picture. I always like to see how others have solved things.

Thank you!

Re: FrogLube

We use Frog Lube. Since my kids were going to be cleaning their smallbore rifles themselves, I searched for something that was not full of dangerous chemicals and didn't make you stink after using it. Frog Lube fit both those requirements. It works for us. I haven't used it on air guns though.

Re: Anybody familiar with Good Shooting, Inc.

I have placed around 6 orders from them, 2 or 3 was for ammo.

They are great to deal with, and ship when they say they will. I would not hesitate to order from them again.

Why not use an unweighted 499 ... I’m trying to do with what I already have, and I’m worried that the rifle would be too front heavy for her is I cut it down to a 9 or 10 inch LOP. A cut down 499 will not be too heavy. They are 3.1 lbs. with a full length stock. My daughter started competing with a...

If you decide to pursue this, and have kids who are interested, then work toward qualifying for the Daisy BB Gun Nationals. Our team qualified for and went to Nationals last year. It was a great experience.

You are right, the 2010 rulebook is confusing on this. The 2013 rulebook has the same information, but it is shown in a more logical order. Just to check, I measured an AR-4/10 target and the dimensions are correct. The 1 ring on the experimental targets is huge, maybe 5" or so. But on both tar...

I discard all pellets that weigh above or below those ranges. That is usually 10 to 30 per tin. Some will weigh as little as 7.80 some as much as 8.20. I tend to discard another 50 to 100 that are dented or bent.
What scale are you using to weigh the pellets?
