You can get a Stanley at Home Depot or Office Depot. It works great.

I also have the same problem with my SP New. It only happens after I clean my gun and add oil to the barrel and firing chamber. I do swipe the barrel and chamber clean before heading to the range, but the first round almost always does not eject. It is only the first shot of the day. After the first...

You should contact USA Shooting and let them know about your problem. California has a similar safety testing requirement but olympic type pistols are exempt. USA Shooting will have to submit the list of pistols they want to be exempt. MA Department of Justice has a form to approve target pistols. I...

My comment was not about your post Nav. My comment was for the original post (Johnny C) that was looking for a MG2E with a RF kit. He is the one I am recommending to get a factory RF gun to avoid any troubles.

Matchguns in the USA

If you want a reliable gun, why buy a MG2E with the RF kit? You should buy a MG2ERF instead. This gun will be assembled and tested at the factory by a qualified technician. Installing an aftermarket kit is only a recipe for trouble. Buy the correct gun to begin with. I don't think that trying to sav...

International Pistol Matches in Southern California (PTO)

I need to hear from all southern californians interested in shooting USAS registered targets (Free Pistol, Air Pistol, Sport Pistol and Standard Pistol). We are trying to start organizing shoots at Prado again so please send me a personal message with your email address so I can make a list of all i...

You can get Kruger targets from www.kruger-us-targets.com. Prices are very reasonable and they ship pretty quick. They are the new NRA Kruger distributor in the US.

The topic of this post is "What is the best american made target" AND NOT "What is the cheapest american made target". We are already using the Kruger ISSF approved targets but we need the NRA approved targets to comply with the NRA competition rules. Just found out last night th...

Best American Made Air Pistol Target (B-40)

For all you experienced air pistol shooters, what is the best american made B-40 target? I recently bought targets from the National Target Co. . They work ok but the holes are not nice round holes like on the Kruger targets. Can anybody point me to an american company that uses a thicker paper (lig...

Is there a USAS rule that forbids the use of second level shooting positions for sanctioned matches? As long as the vertical distance between the second lever floor and the target is between the allowed limits, it should be ok. It would be very time consuming to only use 8 positions for a PTO. This ...

The scores should show under USA Shooting club match results. Sometimes it takes them a while before the results are listed on their site. I congratulate Mr. Kim and the sponsors for building a great air pistol facility. They have 17 shooting stations (12 electric, 5 manual) split on two levels. It ...

I did not mean bi-monthly. It should have read monthly or every two months. Sorry for the confusion. We are having a hard time finding enough people to shoot once a month, forget about twice per month!

Thanks

To all air pistol shooters in Southern California, please support this shoot. We are trying to bring back air pistol matches to the area and this is the start. Don't need to attend both days. It will be a good time to meet each other and see who is interested in having a monthly or bi-monthly shoots...

Is this indoor air rifle range in La Puente open to the public? Is it the La Puente Firing Range on Valley Blvd, or is this a different range?

Teresa, maybe we can schedule an air pistol shoot at this range, if permitted.

Thanks,
Ricardo

Another option would be to rent a bay from 9-12 at an indoor range and shoot the match there. Not cheap, but possible.

Rear Sight Aperture

Couple of months ago I widened the rear sight aperture on all my pistols thinking it was going to feel more comfortable and maybe improve my scores. Well, it didn't work. It does feel more comfortable taking the shot, but my groups seem a lot wider now. It seems I have increased the margin of error ...
