Re: Mega link versus suis electronic targets

Hi: We have the MegaLink 300 meter targets. We were one of the first MegaLink installs in the US. Richard has provided great support to the Minneapolis Rifle Club. About 2 years ago we had a lighting strike that did major damage to our system. We had a couple of problems the factory had not seen bef...

Anschutz 1411 / 1413

Hi:

To get an idea of your rifles age check: http://www.rifleman.org.uk/Anschutz.htm

My 1413 shoots great. It is a 1974 model and I have never replaced a broken part. Most parts can be found on the internet.

If you want to update the trigger the new 5071 trigger fits.

Hi: You might want to try a a Super Sniper from swfa.com. They come in 10X, 16X & 20X for $299.95. They are good inexpensive target scopes with good wind-age and elevation knobs. If you put 1/4 min on or take it off that's what you get. I have on one my high power prone rifle and I have had no t...

Rifle Poll

Hi: I was going to request that this poll be discontinued by the moderators but some interesting comments were generated so I have kept it open. 3-P shooters are a smaller fraction of the U.S. target rifle market but they tend to be more open to new equipment and innovation than NRA shooters or benc...

Injuries

Rob has offered very good suggestions. Keep you joints moving through moderate low impact exercise. Walking and bicycle riding are excellent. I will add Mobic (meloxicam) is one of the drugs that did not get a lot of attention during the Celibrex scare in the U.S.. It is also one of the anti-inflamm...

Izhmash upgrades

Hi: Most of the parts Craig1956 added to his Izhmash cost a few hundred bucks. He is still a long way from the price of an Anschutz even if he started with a new Izhmash. We had Mt Guns install a new Anschutz barrel on our Izhmash when we bought last fall (it was below +15 for most of the winter in ...
