Left handed Anschutz 1827 Fortner

Hi all,

I am listing my left handed Anschutz 1827 Fortner for sale. I just bought it in June from Altius in June. Doctors say I can't shoot anymore. It's in the buy/sell section on here.

I'm not really sure how and where you'd use one, but it somehow seems to defeat the whole idea of a snow cover.

Gunsmithing is primarily considered a trade, not necessarily a collegiate discipline. This means either a Post HS certificate or, in some cases, a 2-Year associates degree in a Community/Technical College. To be more specific, it's what one might consider an interdisciplinary program: a variety of d...

Peterz said it best. Over the past 15 years or so, airguns have gotten a lot of bad press: kids killing animals, vandalism, occasional 'accidental discharge', etc. Most suburbs have adopted an ordinance forbidding airgun discharge within residential districts. As a land use and real estate professio...

You asked a tough question, especially if you're in the US. It all depends on products you want. It's been my experience that the buttplates and handstops are generally the easiest to purchase, and can be done so from just about any reputable supplier of match-grade equipment. The situation gets a b...

Ebay expressly prohibits the sale of guns and ammunition on their site. Paypal is a entity of Ebay, Inc. Parts, accessories, and sundries apart from serialized assemblies and barrels are fair game and are generally listed with Ebay's blessing. If the item can be shipped to you without license or per...

Fury, I remember when I was your age...I'm 28 now. I still remember when my dad taught me how to shoot: I was about 4 or 5 and he taught me with my uncle's Ruger Mk II. I've been shooting ever since. Over the years, I've had the opportunity to compete in just about every shooting discipline: Bullsey...

ISSF 50 Meter stock dimensions

Hi all, I just went through the ISSF manual twice and I could not find any minimum dimensions, specific size requirements, etc. for ISSF 50 Meter rifle events, in terms of permitted stock dimensions. Apart from weight, does anybody know if there are any minimum/maximum dimensions for ISSF Smallbore ...

Anschutz vs Izhmash

Hi all,

I am seriously contemplating purchasing an Anschutz 1827 with the Fortner action. I'm just wondering if anybody out there has one? Used one? What's the experience like? etc.

Any information helps,

Center of Gravity

Hi all, I was doing some work on my Anschutz 1907 a while back and I figured out that the rifle's center of gravity is a little further down on the forearm than I would like: about a 5 inches forward of the trigger guard. This is the first rifle I've ever shot that I didn't bed the stock myself. Cur...

It's my understanding that it is possible to integrate a bbs like this with Facebook, Myspace, etc. Facebook is just a social networking site; almost a virtual storefront to a person, organization, company, and the like. In theory, a 'TargetTalk' Facebook page would just be a face that links that si...

There are people on this forum who have $400 and $500 spotting scopes; I know a couple of them. I have thousands tied up in this sport, as do most of the people who read and write these posts. Regardless of who you are, resources are finite. At 10 Meters, I wouldn't be inclined to invest too much in...

Mini Palma...anyone?

Hi all, I've come across a new match format called Mini Palma. As best as I can tell, it's course of fire that uses rimfire rifles, shooting at reduced 800, 900, and 100-yard Palma targets at 100 yards. It appears to be popular in the Midwest and Pacific Northwest. I've done some searching online bu...

If the scope holds zero well, and depending on the barrel, action, etc., you can probably do some local NRA matches where ANY Sights are allowed: Rule 3.7(c). You also have the option of doing NRA Smallbore Silhouette. If the rifle is in the right condition, you also have the option of doing Rimfire...
