ISSF Coat & Pants Rule Changes

Hi all,

I've heard some rumors that the there is a new rule change on the way regarding ISSF Coats and Pants, specifically regarding the permitted thickness. I am about to order a new coat and pants and was wondering: does anybody know of any proposed rule changes regarding coats and/or pants?

Well, depending on where you're located, and where you're going to shoot, you can, in theory, use the same rifle. I do both NRA/ISSF Smallbore and 3P events, as well as Summer Biathlon. As far as Summer Biathlon is concerned, the Savage Mark II FVT is one of the preferred choices. While I can't spea...

I don't live too far from you in York. I work in the land-use industry in our region. I hate to be the bringer of bad news but, you don't have many options, but you do have some. In most of the country, yes, you could get away with taking the FWB out in the woods and knocking off a few pellets witho...

I think for me, the original question was a bit more basic. See, I'm a 6'3" left-handed shooter. I wear a US Size 13 shoe, EU size ~47. I'm pushing the higher limits of what's available off the rack as a shooter. I shoot a left-handed rifle. A great deal of my components I've had to either make...

This one is an oldie but goodie; MEC mentions parts of it in Ways of the Rifle. It helped me out when I was coming up and learning how to shoot prone. You're going to need the following: A full-length mirror-at least 18" wide by 36" high about 10' of simple string About a dozen large washe...

I grew up in South Louisiana (below I-10) and I went to college (where I shot) not too far from the LA/TX state line. Over the years, I've come across a couple of things that I use to keep hydrated and relatively cool. First, avoid shooting between noon and ~4 PM in the summer if you live near or be...

Correction to my earlier entry: on the Centra made AHG irises, some of the centra irises do adjust from 0.5mm to 3.0mm. However, only a Gehmann made iris will have small metal studs on the polarizing bands for adjustment.

Depending on how long ago you bought it, the best thing might be to contact the retailer and obtain a replacement. With that said, it's my understanding that AHG (the Anschutz accessories division) does NOT make most of its Anschutz-branded products. For example, the "Ammunition Box" liste...

Using a Beretta 87

Hi all, I am getting back into the pistol game and I am thinking about the Beretta 87. For a good part of my early to mid-20s, I shot a Beretta 92FS for plate shooting and the like and it was great. I've always been happy with my Beretta products and I was wondering-how far do you guys think the 87 ...

Anschutz 1907 in NRA shooting

Okay, I have an Anschutz 1907 with the 5018 trigger. I like the piece a lot, especially the trigger. I want to take a shot at doing a local NRA Smallbore shoot but the rules say there is a minimum trigger weight of 3 Pounds. My question is: does anyone think it's possible to get the weight up to 3 p...

Creedmoor AHG ISU Coat

Hi all, On Creedmoor's website, there is an AHG-Anschutz shooting coat listed for $159.95. It looks interesting enough in that small picture on the website-not like any of the other coats that AHG makes. I'm just wondering if anyone knows a bit more about it. The price is inviting and I just so happ...

I consult for non-profits involved in land use and real estate issues regularly. None of these recommendations should take competent legal adv...
