I also have one that I'm using on my 1408 Anschutz. Once I got the the height of the front sight sorted out it's worked well. Clicks seem to be very positive. I think you'll also want the sunshade tube that screws into the front of the sight. If I'm not mistaken I think I saw one of the 3P finalists...

The key to making plugs work is putting them in correctly. I've worn them for years and still learned something from this video.

The NRA Smallbore Prone Championships, the back story

As "clamdigger" mentioned in his post http://www.targettalk.org/viewtopic.php?t=40719 "The NRA took down all the canopies Saturday morning prior to the start of prone due to damage from the storm and never put them back up since they did not have enough surplus equipment." Here's...

Some Pictures from the Metric Nationals

Here are some pictures from the final prone day at the US metric nationals (July 15th) at the Wa-Ke'-De range, Bristol Indiana (USA). It's a pretty range with 100 firing points. http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2879/9294729709_224ea5ce81.jpg Wa-Ke'-De Rifle Range, Bristol IN HQ Moody (NRA rifle competi...

Padding under your shooting matt

Don't know if you folks are allowed to do it but over in the states (NRA rules) when we shoot on concrete everyone uses a double mat or hard foam pads where the elbow rests. Mine is the flooring pieces you get from the "big" box stores for putting under kids play areas. It really helps on ...

Prone Shooting tips

Guys, thanks for the advice. I worked both with WesternGrizzle's up and downs, and really, really focused on the NPA and I was able to finally shot my last bull of the set of eight with 5X's. That's the first time ever. Now I just have to work on consistency, but it really helps knowing you can do i...

Dumb question, who carries the single Centra aperatures

I looked in my normal sources (champion choice) and all I see are the adjustable apertures.

Thanks,

Thanks, all of your suggestions made a lot of sense, especially about canting differently left to right. As I think on it more it was the left/right targets (A23's and 50M reduced) that were giving me the most grief. I know I'm still wiggling around to much when I'm down in position, so that's proba...

NPA and sight adjustments shooting NRA multi-bull targets

I have a question for the experienced folks on this form. When I'm shooting prone matches with either the 23/5 or the 3 bull 100 yd targets, I can set up my sights and NPA for the sighter target fine, generally staying in the 9/10 ring. But when I move to the scoring targets even though I feel like ...

For SB Prone Try Champion Shooters Supply's Freeland sling

I got one a month or so ago and with my ISSF Jacket, the sling does not pinch around the inside of your arm and being synthetic it doesn't stretch. With respect to the service rifle, here's a trick I saw one of HP shooters use at our club. Use the cotton sling for Offhand, with the clip on the botto...
