Well guys, after reading that the European guys use their air pistols at 25 meters I decided to give it a try. My question was, is it possible for a 4.5 mm pellet to reach that distance??? Put 8 inch black ( from free pistol) target at 25 meters and made 10 shots out of my Wal Mart Crossman co2 revo...

Well, yeah, I tried it, this morning at home with my Daysi. Just twisted my upper body a bit , pointing the gun down range, and a bit to the ceiling at maybe 70 degrees up, but always downrange and no need to move stance. must admit that at home there is no need to avoid pointing backwards as it is ...

USAS (again)

How can I search for past matches results? like the 2004 pistol and rifle Nationals. on the new web site, seems there is no provision for that.
What good it is to be able to search for past matches, when there is limited information on that, other than the flyer and match schedule.

If you need to use your knee to allow you to reload then maybe you should be looking at a different gun ;-) That's why everybody jumped at the CO2s when they appeared. I must admitt that using your knee to cock that spring was not very stylish. but we are talking in an era where air pistol was not ...

I think that the operative part of rule 8.2.5.1 is "The action, breech or loading device must not be closed until the pistol is pointing down range in a safe direction toward the target/butt stop area." If according to 8.2.5.1 rule "I think" it is no brainer. with the breach ope...

How to shoot the Pneumatics??

Hi all. On the Pneumatics pistols ie, FWB, Baikal, or Daisys and on Big Matches where rules are enforced strickly, safety, gun downrange, etc. How do shooters if any, operate their pistols, how do they reload whitout pointing the gun to the public ( back) fellow shooters, or else. I mean: do they mo...

thanks Ted,
I just got my membership with USAS, I browse their web site regularly, but I guess with the additional magazine I may understand better about all the matches and activities going around. K.

Granada World Cup; Spain

Hi all:
I am a bit outdated on this; can someone please explain me how the process was done. This is the World Cup I know, but why the term
" Final". What happened with our "Pistoleros" ( USA), and how/when the classificatin was done.
regards, K.

Dindlenbaun. I bet it was an impresive match to observe, I am glad for you. Reading the scores from the USAS website it seems to me that there were about 20 participants. Is that a normal turnout for FP or there were more not listed? Was this match an invitational only ( with minimum qualifications)...

Is that true? that 2 1/4" black looked to me like trying to shoot a "fly" on the wall. Holding, breathing and technique remain the same though. The controlled weather, lights, chair and coffe made the experience superb, oh, and the fact that I used only my binoculars was a general plu...

I attended their first Sunday of the month FP match and it was just a blast. Thank you Larry for organizing the shooting so neatly and thank you Nicole for allowing me to shoot your Pardini semi auto. My son shot my Brownig Buckmark and managed to hold his temper and to shoot " one shot at a ti...

I think your 50ft range has 20 or some shooting positions, but given the size of the target, how do you hang them out. 10 shots per target? and staple 6 targets in two or three rows on the carrier. you walk up and down or are the carriers motorized.

Nicole, I am kind a flattered with so much attention. Thanks... again.. for offering us your Pardini, maybe I can shoot your gun and write the clicks so to put the sights back, though I am not shooting match ammo I am afraid I may foul your barrel with my CCI Blazer (lead) rounds. My son is a shotgu...

Great information Nicole, definitively much better and more than the web site. $25.- is not that bad at all, it is about as much as I pay for our local High Power rifle matches ( one) and way less what Trap cost me. Thats why it prompts me to go way back to my roots and shoot 22lr ( Olympic) actuall...
