David, believe me, I used to think the same way as you do. somebody once said; that it is important to have an open mind and be able to clear what one have inside. Yep, I tried 50 ft. ( 15 meters) I was reluctant for many years to do so, but, heck, less equipment, less everything, and I think I like...

In other words, If we are never or almost never going to shoot at International levels, they why bother to shoot at 50 yrds ( free pistol) or 25 yards ( standard pistol) or 10 yards ( ap). why dont we in the US (as many been doing it long time ago) just shoot indor at 50 ft. ( 16 yards) , sounds chi...

Reduced Targets? What do you think.
Hi guys, I have always considered that shooting at shorter distances as for beginers only, I mean it looks silly to shoot a pistol at such a short distances. But, I recently started to shot my ap in my garage at 6 meters, with properly reduced targets ( black only). I tried this morning to shoot at ...

I'm a happy guy now. after all the silencer manufacture discussion, I realized that I'm not the only crazy one trying to shoot full 10m across the living room, and the vases, mirrors, coffe table, etc. I just need to find the time to shoot when my wife is not around. meanwhile my 26 ft garage is ok ...

Pointing the gun to the public???
Hi all: It's been about 20 (15) years since my last air pistol match, I'm sure a lot have changed in respect to safety and the things like that. I started with the spring pistols and in the cocking and reloading process the shooter pointed the muzzle basically to everywhere before resting the gun po...

That was interesting Steve, I mean your second part. I'm used to shoot only at one target in the carriers, but now I'm shooting at 20ft at reduced targets on a pellet trap. I managed to print 4 bulls on a single target in order to save paper and walking, BUT it feels akward eventhough they are close...

Junior's air pictures
Hi all. I just saw the pictures of the Juniors air match at the USA shooting web page. Interesting the way they had the targets set. very practicall btw. 4 targets on a plywood board for a pistol shooter and some 20 or 30 black circles for the rifle one's. I wonder how the shooters fired at it, I me...

Can anyone go to the Nationals
Hi all: can anyone go to the Nationals?? or the Olympic trials for that matter, I mean AP and FP. I think that whoever wins both matches at the trials get to go to the Olympics, after someone else got the quota before. I mean I've seen scores in the 400's at the trials. I know, I can check with USA ...

Do you shoot in your Backyard???
Hi all. I shot in my garage, don't have a full 33ft but I compromise at 26ft. I don't shot in the backyard of my residential area house, eventhough its fully fenced, I found the clinking noise can be somehow anoying for my neighbors, also I wouldn't like the idea of my neighbor shooting at his backy...

Nice job charles and nice silver medal. but, isn't the 1377 a pump pistol, wasn't that difficult to do at a match. how many pumps?. how's your accuracy. I shot a Crossman 357 revelover and was able to do one holes at 10 meter (offhand), couldn't repeat that, but I was very impress with that kind of ...

Back then when the first Daysis 717 came out there were the option of having them with wooden match grips similar to the Feinwerbaus with adjustable palm swell and everything I know because I shot one from my club (25 years ago). So, there must be some left overs available somewhere. As a proof, I s...

Thats AWESOME Ernie. more from a $47.50 pistol. that would make many people mad. Now, I know the Crossmans are particularly accurate, but too bad the 2240 is a .22 cal. I don't think the make them in .177 . How about a barrel change or something. btw. I think Yi Fu Wan or Neustreuv (or any other goo...

Thanks Paul. Finances apart, I just wanted some intelligent responses to my initial post, despite the fun some people have made of it. Keep training, and eventhough we are lucky enough to live in a rich country, lets focus on sportmanship,,,, but a nice $ price is always a plus, at least to justify ...
