Bill,
I would say I have to agree with you, but on the upside it does seem to be a LOT better than it was. Scott

I was about to post a similar question when I saw this posting. I shot my first 2700 ever today. I had shot some .22 bullseye about 15 years ago and just recently got back into bullseye shooting in March of this year. A few weeks ago I posted a question regarding my new Les Baer 45 trigger. Baer sai...

I agree with the "unsafe" command on the line. It just doesn't sound good. I think there are enough people out there trying get our guns or shut ranges down and the word "unsafe" being used just gives them more to use against us. We know that at times it would be "unsafe&quo...

Yes it was brand new when I got it. It's so new I haven't had a chance to send in the warranty card yet. I got it from Champions Choice about a week ago. Thanks for the help I will call them Monday. Scott

Melchloboo, the trigger feel of my Les Baer is creepy. If you dry fire and watch the trigger you can see it move and not have the hammer fall. Ocasionally it will go off without any creep and when it does it's fine. As far as the other pistols i shoot to compare it to: I shoot a Steyr LP-10 which ha...

Les Baer .45

I received a new Les Baer wad gun a while back and the description say a 3 1/2# crisp trigger. My trigger is anything but "crisp". I was thinking just some use would smooth things out. I only have about 100 shots through it so far and was wondering if there is any ill effects to dryfiring ...

Thanks for the info guys. I will be using them at our next match. And who says you can't make money at pistol shooting! Add that to my $3 for winning a slow fire match and I'm almost ready to get a new pistol!! thanks, Scott

NRA points

I finally saw the scores of the NRA Conventional Pistol Sectional that I shot in back in March. I won 3rd place EX and received 5 NRA points. What are these points for? Scott

Houston, congratulations on your junior olympics! Sounds like you did pretty well for a rifle shooter :). My suggestion would be to go with the grips for your Buckmark if you feel that you are going to keep it for a while. If you think that you are going to be changing guns soon you might not want t...

model 41 issue

I shot a match with a friend today who shoots a S&W model 41. He hadn't shot it for about 10 years prior. He cleaned it up and I know he lubed it because I could see the white grease working off the back of the slide. The problem he is having is it is not staying open after the last round. I thi...

I'd like to agree with the positive aproach. Tonight I shot a sixty shot "match" here at home. With each shot as I was coming down into my aiming area I said to myself "front sight, squeeze, follow thru, ten." I did this with every shot and also between shots. Maybee I was just h...

Thanks for the recomendation for the books I will be getting them shortly. Right now I am reading "The Pistol Shooters Treasury" by Gil Hebard. It's a good informative book but geared towards NRA Bullseye shooting. I'm gonna look at a friends LP1 to see if I would like a wider front sight ...

Guys, Thanks for the input. I feel comfortable with it set up as it came I just didn't know if too small of a front sight was a major wrong doing or just personal preference. I did have to remove material from the grip to allow my big thumb knuckle to slip between the thumb rest and ridge under the ...

advice for a new shooter

I recently got into air pistol shooting and a week ago I received my new Steyr LP10. This is the first time I have shot a pistol with "iron" sights. Normally I shoot either a red dot or a 1X scope with a black dot on my bullseye pistols. I read one persons opinion that the front sight widt...
