Re: High Power Championships
Its bleeding obvious that Willing or his boss is either crazy or on an ego trip. They were not honest with us about smallbore and I think its clear they or maybe the CMP are lying about everything, or maybe its just a power grab by one or the other organizations. I have felt for a long time that the...

High Power Championships
The NRA has decided to move the high power championships from Camp Perry. Dennis Willing is quoted as saying , “I intend to change the face of High Power Rifle as a discipline, and will be presenting matches that are better than competitors have ever seen before." He is the same guy who moved s...

What did I miss? Why does it offend anyone if someone wants to use the site to get business. If the S.C. Bar Assoc. is ok with it I certainly am, and your suppressor business also. Hell one part of the site is 100 % business. The rifle forum has a guy from Walther posting regularly on it and no one ...

Re: Air Pistol Barrel 1 in 10 twist
RMCA you are absolutely right. I know many rifle shooters with bad backs. One current sad example is Jamie Corkish. The 2012 womens 3 p Olympic gold metalist who had to retire after the Olympics because of a bad back. And I know of many others. I have often wondered if our back problems were the res...

Re: Air Pistol Barrel 1 in 10 twist
As a live long rifle shooter, I have always suspected pistol shooters to be 2 bricks short of a full load. We now have photographic evidence confirming this.

Chia I am not a lawyer in South Carolina or anywhere else. However it seems to me that congress and the pres could, with a simple majority, outlaw NFA firearms. As you point out the political realities might be different and there are so few of them that in any week you can see more of them on TV th...

So if the election results follow the current polls, it looks like we will have Pre..., Pres.... Aw heck I can't even bring myself to type it much less say it out loud. If that happens it looks like there might be some investment opportunities. What do you think would be best? 1. 10 AR 30 round mags...

John I will take them in order:
1. Old whisky - yes
2. Younger women - Well I married one younger than I am a few decades ago. Think I will stick with her.
3. Faster horses - Never played the ponies
4. More Money - Well DUH! I could buy more guns and ammo.

Re: 5 BOD Members Added To USA Shooting
If these people had ties to the shooting sports they wouldn't be independent directors. What USAS and NRA need is new blood at the top with management and business experience.I would also throw ISSF into that pot. Like the government we need term limits for directors for these organizations. There a...

Life is too short to shoot bad ammo or drink bad wine.
Too lots one for practice and one for match.

Re: Air Rifle Scholarships
Graduated high school or college? Jacksonville is currently ranked number 14 in the nation. It is hard to get a scholarship to the really good teams. Many schools, however, have a varsity team and a club team. Kentucky and WVU come to mind. Many other colleges like Clemson field a club team only and...

SBF I shall endeavor to support my assertions one by one. 1. Health care. I think the following articles are but a few proving that point and they all come from Canadian news sources. https://www.thestar.com/news/gta/2016/04/27/sharons-story-trip-to-buffalo-for-stem-cell-transplant-came-too-late.htm...

SBF we get our 22 ammo the same place I assume you do. England, Germany, and Finland. I assume you have importers from those 3 companies bringing it in to Canada. As to gun rights in general you worry about your guns we will worry about ours. You people DO understand, don't you, that the Revolution ...

I was at a collegiate match this weekend where they played music on the loudspeaker during the match. During the finals I think the crowd was uneasy with clapping but it seems to be the flavor of the day.

Re: NCSU WVU collegiate match
I don't know about the bullet traps, I think they are State's design. As far as Olympians go WVU has had a large number of alums in the Olympics dating back to Bruce Meredith and Jack Writer from the 60s. It is an interesting question if 2 have been on the line together after the Olympics while stil...

Re: Non pro shooter looking for first pro quality .22 pistol
Jholtman no experts here. Only Rover telling him he doesn't deserve a great firearm. My philosophy on guns is buy the best you can. It will shoot better than you can until you get to the Olympics, so you don't get to use that excuse. Also the purchase of a common but expensive gun, like a S&W 41...
