Mike it is true that you can't spend your way to a win but you can certainly save your way to a loss.

Re: US Dealer or Low Cost Import
Chip, you bought a gun that had the seller's name engraved on it? I have never heard a vendor doing that. I would certainly never buy something like that.

Re: Winchester Model 52 values
Doesn't no letter designation mean pre-A, which would put it in the 1920's? If so to a collector it might have some value, to a competitor it is basically worth $zero.

Re: US Dealer or Low Cost Import
William when did a gunsmith ever ask you where you bought the item that needed service? I have never had that happen. In addition, how often do you people need to have your guns worked on? I don't ever recall in more than 40 years of smallbore rifle experience needing work done on a rifle other than...

About Talladega for rifle championships, the weather in Al in July averages about 5-8 degrees hotter than Ohio. That doesn't sound like much until you put on a couple of sweatshirts and a leather coat for hours.

Re: US Dealer or Low Cost Import
Last year I needed a top of the line air rifle for my college son. I called all the well known sellers in America, including Pilk Guns, and basically found bumpkus. Pilk Guns had NO air rifles. Some sellers had one or two of 2nd line rifles, but no one had the selection that they claim on their web ...

NRA writing off competitive shooters
I just got a call from some clown claiming to represent the NRA in a survey of members. I didn't get past the first question because my blood pressure spiked and almost blew the top of my head off. The question was "Which of the following is the most important focus for the NRA in 2017?" I...

Firearm buyer forms
Does anyone know what happens to the forms a buyer fills out when buying a firearm? Does it stay with the dealer unless the Feds ask for it?
I'm not trying to evade the law, just curious.

English? Ya'll speak English over there?
I once shot next to a Scotsman at Bisley for a week and never understood a word he said, but it was in theory "English"
Makes me want to get a spanner from the boot and hit somebody in the head.

Re: Steyr tools
I have no idea what a "slotted cheese head screw" is and I don't think I want to. Does it differ from the "phillips cheese head screw"? I have found that German companies will spend millions of $ to engineer a firearm that will put one round on top of the last one all day long. B...

Re: Shooting Jacket??
An air rifle weighs 10 lbs . 60 shots + sighters say 20 total of 80 shots x 10 lbs. thats 800 lbs your back is lifting . Try that 5- 6 days a week and tell me its not heavy lifting. Or if thats too easy do it with a free rifle at 15 lbs. Many a shooter has had to quit, including Olympic Champion Jam...

Uh... Xman you want to "enter the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders"? Perhaps you would like to expand on that thought by adding a prepositional phrase.

Xman for God's sake have the shoulder fixed . It is a bitch of a surgery and rehab but it is totally worth it and the tear and probable bone spurs will only get worse. The best part is, after the rehab it doesn't hurt and the lifts that the physical therapist recommends almost certainly include low ...

Re: Why save the Olympic events? Get the ISSF in line first.
I agree with someone above who said that all cartridge events will be gone, at least by 2032 OG. With the exception on shotgun events. I don't of many countries that don't have private ownership of shotguns. It is obvious that by ditching 2 of 4 50 m events they are moving to do away with the 22 eve...

Re: how to sell a rifle ...
The buyers state and ffl govern the transaction for a long gun. A private party in state A can sell a long gun to a buyer in state B. The firearm must be shipped to an ffl in state B. Some ffl s will not accept shipments from non ffl s because they want to actually sell you a gun instead of handling...

There is a poster here who goes by "J". I don't know if he is one of the Men in Black or not but he sells European pistols that I believe he imports. You might want to send him a message.
