small bore prices

Interesting comments on this subject. A few ideas worth every cent you paid for them. (nothing) I think its significant that less than 40 people have weighed in on the subject. Only one mentioned accuracy. More actually mentioned divorce than accuracy. Why would anyone need a more expensive rifle, e...

ammo

You tested 10 different lots and are only going to buy 2 bricks? Is this for English matches or American prone? 2 Bricks will last 2 weeks in American prone. My suggestion is to skip testing and buy Red Eley. Hell, I knew a guy who would take 10 lots to the range to test and if he couldn't find one ...

prone action

If you are building a prone gun I recommend a Winchester 52. Yeah youall stop laughing. It has a much shorter bolt movement and is easier to load in prone.

When I was younger and competing a lot I also found that it was important to maintain a balanced diet during a match. On the night before a match it is important to keep a proper balance between the intake of beer and gin. That way you will be in great shape for the days shooting. BUT just don't do ...

It pains me to say this but maybe if money is a problem for your family maybe you need to rethink shooting as a sport. The problem is in shooting

EVERYTHING is expensive. Sad but true.

I think you need 2 rifles because of the weight restrictions on a sporter. For the prone gun a 18,19,20 13 is way over kill. And is probably not good enough out of the box. My 2cents worth... uh I mean $2,000 worth is to build a custom prone gun. Start with an action. My preference is a Winchester 5...

How to re-crown a barrel. Take a 20 penny nail and stick it in the muzzle and..... The bottom line on old barrels like this is that the crown and chamber are equally important. My 1413 from the same era has a ring around the chamber almost the whole 360. Still shoots ok though. My daughter has it no...

You probably won't find any photos of "good" shooters not using a roll. Part of the job of a kneeling roll is to help stabilize the ankle. You may have too much filler in the roll if it is not coming up around part of you ankle. What shooting books have you bought? The NRA Junior Marksman...

STUPID!! Obviously the ISSF has been taken over by the same smart people who run the NRA.

Does anyone know if USAShooting is going to enforce this?

Champion Shooter Supply. They usually have a good supply of used coats and pants. And if you buy from them they have a good trade in policy as a kid grows. The way kids grow and change their interests it doesn't make sense to buy new stuff they can't wear next month or lose interest in shooting. Unl...
