Rimfire concentricity testing by German magazine Visier

I thought the group might be interested in some excellent independent testing that is published this month in the German shooting magazine Visier. They tested a new Walther KK300 target rifle with our gauge and the attached table shows their results. Obviously across the top of the table you have bu...

New Rimfire Concentricity Items

I have updated our website with some new items that may be of interest to the group. We have a new rimfire concentricity gauge. Designated the Club Model it has some unique features. The unit can be changed from having the drive arm on the left hand side to the right hand side by the user. An additi...

There is an interesting article at: http://projects.chatrifleclub.org/targapert.html I think there is benefit to what is written there. I have tried it in offhand and have improved my scores. I also think I have a better sight picture and I am not fighting the sight picture during the shot. The char...

Concentricity (runout) info

I have updated our website to include several things that this group may be interested in. The independent review by Frank Tirrell has been posted for reading courtesy of Small Caliber News. I have also added a Customer Testimonials section (1 currently) which is very interesting. As always, I am ha...

Rimfire Concentricity Sorting Update

Just thought I would let the group know that another article has been published about rimfire concentricity sorting and our machine. This article was written by smallbore shooter and NRA staff writer Eric Poole and appears in the latest issue of Shooting Sports USA (Nov 2005). One quote from the art...

Tony C. What several people are doing is rather than buy a bunch of ammo in a few different lots, they are buying a couple of boxes of ammo from a ton of different lots. They then can check the distribution of concentricities for each of those lots. For instance take 100 rounds from lots A through E...

shutr, Richard, Tony C. First to address the question of "experimental design to statistically prove". This was an area of big concern amoung several of the engineers who have had input on our concentricity project over the years. After much research and debate it was concluded that the mi...

Michael, Yes we had to build a special device in order to accurately measure group sizes and we built it to measure them center to center. It is just a measurement and you can express it anyway you want. The important part is that you have an accurate and repeatable method to take the measurement. T...

Dave, Concentricity doesn't solve everything, it just takes out what we believe and what are research shows is one of the biggest varriables. You still have the number one problem of harmonics and this is probably why one lot will shoot great in one rifle but not another. The obvious question become...

Richard, I hope I can address your concerns with the following. First the price. This is a well machined unit which takes approximately 6 to 8 hours of machining time to create. At $365 per unit that is roughly only $40 per hour. Obviously a very good value considering that from there we have to pay...
