Walther

Hello: I believe this is a Walther UIT-E Universal. It is based on the Walther KKM action. But it has an electronic trigger. The stock is very similar to or identical to the Walther UIT-Match Universal. I don't think very many of them were made. Unsure about how available spare parts are for the ele...

AHG Shooting Clothing

Hello:
I agree with MN Shooter to get in touch with Neal Stepp. But be sure to call him on the phone rather than send an e-mail.

Re: Walther Dovetail Sights

Hello: In my experience, an Anschutz sight will not fit onto the grooves of older Walther rifles. The Walther grooves are narrower than the Anschutz grooves. You might try to find a more modern Walther front sight. The later ones will accept M18 accessories. I would try calling (not e-mailing) Neal ...

Tom:
A little reasearch on Anschutz website provides the final answer on this question. The first Anschutz M1813/M1807 was SN# 182,156. So yours is a very early M1813, probably manufactured in 1979 or 1980.

Tom: Does the underside of the bolt have an open slot underlying the firing pin? This is one way to tell the difference between a M1613 and M1813. The M1613 has an open slot on the underside of the bolt, while on the M1813 the bolt is solid. The real difference between the 2 models at this point is ...

Re: M1813 or M1913

Usually this is marked on the barrel. Based on my experience, it is an early M1813, very close to the cut-off to the earlier M1613. Is there an "X" after the serial number?I would expect there will be a dovetail front sight sight mount. The M1913 will have a different front sight mount wit...

Feinwerbau Electronic Trigger

Hello: Checking to see if anyone has experience with an electronic trigger for a FWB rifle like a M2000. One just followed me home. The trigger works fine but I want to adjust the weight of pull. Two small screws on the base of the pistol grip. I think some of the earlier M2600's may have had an ele...

Steyr Match 91 Experience?

To All:

There is a Steyr Match 91 air rifle in pristine condition in the local gunshop on consignment. It is calling to me. I happen to have a full CO2 tank. Does anyone have experience with these good, bad or indifferent?

Thanks

Hap and Dan: Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Nice to know it's going on and to see the posting of the scores. A Lilja drop-in seems like a good bet. Matt Emmons won gold and silver Olympic medals in prone with Lilja barrels and came within 1 shot of winning 2 more Olympic gold medals in 3-P.

Walther UIT

There isn't a lot of Walther historical information on the web. UIT can refer to a many different Walther .22 target rifles, especially standard rifles. For instance, there is a UIT Match, UIT Match Universal, etc. The "WAR 50301" isn't a very commonly used designation. Do you have a pictu...

I think this is an Urban Myth. As stated above, all of the 1600 series Anschutz rifles have an "X" at the end of the serial #. The 1600 series rifle was the transitional model between the 1400 and 1800 models. This serial number featuremay have become combined with a statement in "Way...

Anschutz M54 Whoops

Looking for some advice here. I've alway been told that you should remove the bolt on an Anschutz M54 before you take the trigger assembly off but I forgot.

What should I do (or not do) to re-assemble the rifle now?
Thanks

Re: Diana 820

BGC I've never handled a Diana 820, but this beauty is not an Anschutz, Walther, or Feinwerkbau so it must be a Diana? Seems like a good supposition. The rear sight shown is definitely a Diana rear sight and the proof target is marked 820. I have seen a picture of a Diana 820 standard rifle and it l...
