Re: Diana 820

Living in Europe would definitely brighten the spare parts picture. "The Ways of the Rifle" has a picture of Klees at Atlanta on page 57, although it is hard to tell what he is shooting. Mostly in this book Klees is shown with a KK200. Also the ammunition tests shown on page 189 are shot t...

Re: Medesha Extension Tubes

Sunhat:
Champions Choice stocks the Medesha tubes. They work well, especially for rifles that have standard muzzle diameters like the rifles you listed.

Re: Diana 820

BGC: I'm not sure where you are but Diana 820's are very rare in the US. I have never seen one but have seen a few pictures. I believe Jack Foster with Accuracy International imported a few in the late 1980's to mid 1990's. They have been out of production for at least a decade, I think. There were ...

re: Exception to the Rules

Ditto what Hap wrote. If a sponsor wants to run a smallbore 3-P match with relaxed clothing rules, the brown book of "NRA Smallbore Rifle Rules" should be used- not the NRA International rifle rulebook. The international (A50/A51) target can still be used in an NRA 3-P match.

Re: Sight Riser Blocks and Offset Riser Blocks

An1913t A good option is to have Bill Earnest at Earnest Shooting Products make you a set. He makes riser block sets in heights of 6, 8, 10, 14, 17, and 20mm. Very high quality work at reasonable prices. His phone number is 570-797-4872. KSLee: Send me an e-mail at alcarey@w-link.net. I may have wha...

Hello all you smallbore shooters out here in the Pacific Northwest. We still have space available for the clinic and practice match.

Smallbore Prone Clinic - April 20, 2008 - Tacoma, WA

Hello Everyone: We’re trying to boost the NRA conventional smallbore prone game in the Pacific Northwest and are adding another event to the smallbore calendar this year. I've attached a program (I think). The event is a combination of: Clinic - for new shooters Sight-In - for those who haven’t touc...

Target Change to A-23 for Camp Perry

Pete:

Upon further thought it might make things a little more interesting if they changed the target to the A-23 AND changed the # of sighters per stage to two, just like highpower.

A-23/5Target for 3-P

Pete:
I find this very hard to believe and am stunned. It would make more sense to go all the way back and shoot 4-P for the national championships.

or shoot 3-P on the A-26 target which I believe is the old international target.

2013 Bedding

Bo: Bedding a 2013 is a much discussed subject. The four bedding screws of the 2000 series action do not necessarily provide better bedding than the 2 bedding screws of the 1900 series action. That said, I've seen a couple shooters shoot very good prone scores with a unaltered 2012/2013. I asked the...

Diana 820

Bo: The Diana 820 is very rare in the US. Jack Foster imported a few. I have seen one picture of this rare breed. Is the one you have your eye on a standard rifle or free rifle? This is total speculation, but my guess is that the trigger is similar to the RWS/Diana 100 SSP air rifle that was produce...

Smallbore Rifle/Gunsmithing Inc/Fiberglass Stocks

I'll have to say I've had much better luck with Gunsmithing Inc than Brian has. They carry a good product line and their service has always been very good for me. I've purchase new parts, used parts, and a used rifle or two from Gunsmithing. With regard to the rifle in question, I note that Gunsmith...

I just tried mine and the screws for the cheekpiece adjustment are 4mm hex screws. Suggest trying a 4mm hex wrench and seeng if it works.

Anschutz 2001 Stock Adjustment

It's a little hard to explain, but the round plastic things are nuts. Look for screws that if loosened allow lateral movement of the cheekpiece and butt plate. The length, angle, and cant of the cheekpiece and butt plate are controlled by spacers. The spacers come flat or wedge like. I suggest you c...

Thanks for the tip on the Savage 900. Options for a beginningLH shooter to shoot a true LH rifle seem pretty limited.

Question about Vibration Dampening Compensator

Target Talkers I have a strictly academic question concerning the introduction of vibration dampening compensators on pnuematic air rifles. Specifically, which was the first to intoduce the compensator. I have a Champion's Choice catalog dated May 1, 1997 that lists it for the FWB 603. Other candida...

Anschutz Sight Track

Thanks for your reply. Most of my questions are answered. I'm still trying to picture how the sight improves sight alignment. Does the shooter look through a small diameter tube housed within the Sight-Track? Does this tube move when you adjust the rear sights?
Thanks

Anschutz Sight-Track

Hello Target Talkers: I'm wondering if anyone has experience with the Anschutz Sight-Track, a gizmo that attaches to the front of the Anschutz Universal rear sight. It's supposed to act as a sunshade, which makes sense, but also have some capability or ocular piece in the front of the thing that enh...

Tony: I've owned a FWB 600 and C62 (CO2 version of the 602) and would like to add a couple of items to what defblade had to say. The FWB 602 had a new, greatly improved, rear sight and a 22mm front sight, whereas the FWB 600 had a 18mm front sight. Adjustment of the cheekpiece and pull length was gr...
