Re: Sight lock

I "think" what you are asking is- when you get a perfect sight picture is that when to release the shot? Accept your wobble. New shooters often look for perfect sight alignment/sight picture, and once they get it, they rush to pull the trigger, rather than completing a slow, methodical rel...

Advice for prospective Olympic air pistol shooters

We see this with new shooters, all the time. Indecision based on assuming the pistol or the pellets will dictate one's results. They will not. All of the competition air pistols you can buy, going back decades, are sufficiently accurate to allow you to become a world class shooter. It is the same fo...

Re: Scatt USA not responding

Photos will not really tell you much. 1000 lumens has been recommended. There are free light meter apps for cell phones that will help get you close. There is also the thread, below, on the SCATT forum, that has multiple links...it is a rabbit hole. https://forum.scatt.com/threads/target-lighting.288/

Re: Hammerli AP20 Pro Silver vs Blue body, Silver vs Black Cylendar

We use tanks connected to a filling station. A small "high pressure" air pump should be fine as long as you do not overfill. Max pressure is 200 BAR, or about 2900 psi. Also note, the manuals shipping with the two different versions of the air pistol are all dated 2012. You might look on t...

Re: Hammerli AP20 Pro Silver vs Blue body, Silver vs Black Cylendar

We have both in our group (standard AP-20's). From what I can tell there is no difference, other than color. The blue version with the black cylinders is the newer version. I would not worry, with either version. They are quite reliable air pistols.

Re: Custom Grip for Air Pistol

The Meshpro is an interesting take on air pistol grips. I am testing one now. Do I like it? Maybe. Less sweat during matches; it seems to aide wrist lock (for me). I have the Rink grip and the FWB grip for my p8X.... I need to make sure it is not simply a 'honeymoon' phase, for me... I would suggest...

Scatt and lighting

Very specific lighting needed. We have found the Basic version to be easier to set-up/use in many instances- beach houses, hotels, basements, etc. The Meritec Target LED helps with set-up and the SCATT device is better able to maintain target contact, when using the Meritec lighting. It is not perfec...

Re: Will vinegar remove oxide on Eley Tenex?

From my experience, wipe it off with a dry towel, and move on. Cleaning loaded ammunition leads to misfires, alibis, and death (if one uses the ammunition for work.)

Re: Making anything below an 8 unacceptable

Errant shots occur because one did not follow their shot process. When an unexpected shot happens focus on what was different about the shot process- for that shot- as opposed to shooting your best. Re-group by checking natural point of aim (NPA), dry fire several shots while focusing on shot proces...

Re: CF Air Tank for p8x

Dry firing the FWB P8X shouldn't use any compressed air, at all. There is a button on the P8X that you push to one side for dry fire, and to the opposite side for live fire. Not all fire stations will fill personal tanks. Not all dive shops will fill Carbon Fiber tanks. Really, a standard dive tank ...

We have bought Pardini 22's for years...but even Pardini does not support their 22 pistols beyond about 20 years. Italian air pistol support seems to be even less.

Don't hesitate ,it is a great gun. I mistreated the screw
Can you describe the cause of the failure more? We have a number of shooters using the P8X and avoiding a problem is a good thing.

We use blue loctite- a small amount placed just on one side of the threads- on the AP-20's with this problem. It does not happen again. (No red loctite.)

If a business 1) lists a brand new item for sale yet doesn't have it because it's not available as advertised. 2) offers an older part as a substitute. 3) refuses to refund the full purchase price while claiming the buyer "changed their mind" upon finding out that older parts would be sub...

Great news! I have an identical valve on which the pressure relief button flew off after many years of use. BEST fittings sent me the parts and instructions to fix it- gratis. A great company to deal with, for sure.

my question is: you see the squiggly line, you may be able to say if it's right or not, but how do you correct "wrong" lines? i;m very unclear on the path from "bad traces" to fixing that problem... Here is one guide..... http://www.coachexcellence.net/wp-content/uploads/2017/08...
