Thoughts on the 38 Special
I am reloading 148 gr HBWC in my 38 Special and noticed that the resizing die reduces the diameter considerably. Even after I use the neck expander die, this fit between bullet and case seems too tight. I'm concerned that I might be deforming the soft lead bullets while seating them. Is it possible ...

Schultz & Larsen Free Pistol
I bought mine from the estate of a long time local collector who had the neat habit of buying the finest target firearms and never shooting them. My Schultz & Larsen came with the original 1959 letter from Phil Sharpe (originator of the 7x61 S&H cartridge), who was the US rep for Schultz &am...

I'm certainly no expert on these matters but I would think these guns are precisely designed for ammunition within a very specific chamber pressure range and I'm sure the high velocity ammo will not be nearly as accurate as decent match ammo specifically designed for these type of pistols. Would you...

Hill Pump Question
I just received my Steyr LP50 and purchased a Hill hand pump at the same time. I don't know if other people have the same problem as me, but I can only pump it to 150 bars. Now I weigh 290 pounds, and even putting my full weight on it doesn't help. Is this normal for these hand pumps and should I be...

Steyr LP50 and Pilkguns
I just received my new Stey LP50 from Pilkguns today and can say it was definitely worth the wait. Hats off to Rhonda at Pilkguns. Absolutely the best people to deal with. I just moved up from an IZH46 to the LP50 and really like the rapid fire capability. Its already apparent that this gun will sho...

IZH46 Trigger Adjustments
I have an IZH46 and turning the trigger pull weight screw in either direction does not seem to affect trigger pull. Does turning it clockwise increase or decrease the trigger pull? Thanks.

Problem Solved!!
Thank you folks for the information. I turned the screw back as suggested and the gun quit firing on closing the breech. I wish the instructions that came with the gun were better. They barely scratch the surface and leave much to be desired. You know, with the popularity of the IZH46 pistols, you w...

IZH 46 Problem
My IZH46 started acting up today. When I close the breech after seating a pellet, it fires. Have I messed up the trigger adjustments? My first shot today was fine, then it started malfunctioning. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

Pellets other than lead?
With all the ongoing concern about lead as a health hazard, has anyone ever experimented using other metals. There are many public ranges that now prohibit bare lead projectiles being used at their facilities. It seems to me that eventually the environuts will include pellets as toxic materials and ...

Chronograph problems
I have been attempting to record velocities from my IZH46. I cannot get my Chrony to read either velocities either indoor or outdoor. Is this normal with .177 pellets?
Thanks
Thanks

What books do I need?
I'm a newbie to air pistol shooting and have been having a ball with my IZH46 in my garage range. However, I've noticed that there are virtually no books on the subject of modern air guns except the 10 year old Airgun Digest which seems to deal with older non target type arms. Can somebody give me s...

More confused than ever!!
I looked at the trigger schematic on pilkguns website and am more confused than ever. There are three creep adjustment screws! A preliminary, reserve and final. Can anybody please explain all the differences in simple english. I don't have a PHD from MIT and confess to being confused by three differ...

IZH Trigger Instructions
My instructions which came with the pistol are quite vague concerning trigger adjustments. It tells you which screw controls what, but doesn't tell you which way to turn them to decrease/increase pull, creep and the such. I'd like to know before I go twisting on the screws. Can somebody help?
Thanks

Chrongraph Problems!!
I was practicing in the garage today when I decided to set up my Chrony and check velocities. My chronograph completely ignored the pellets! Does anyone else have problems chronographing pellets? Thanks in advance.

Hammerli history
I just bought a mint Hammerli model 101 free pistol and couldn't find anything on the net with regards to the history, years of production or other data on these fine pistols. Is there a book or website that specializes in these firearms? Thanks.
