Re: Adding a touch of trigger weight.
I also keep my trigger weights above the legal minimum. Not for fear of premature shots, but to avoid the hassle of having to adjust it if it fails the pre competition equipment check. Or even worse, if I win the "lottery" and have my trigger weight checked after completing a competition. ...

Re: Megalink or Sius?
ISSF legal would be a valid concern for us, because the Norwegian Shooting Federation would not sanction matches shot on non-approved targets. And all our matches are sanctioned. But with the current products being offered by Sius and Megalink that is not a problem. And we will definitely buy the la...

Megalink or Sius?
My club in North Norway has decided to invest in electronic targets on our air pistol range. The big question is: Sius or Megalink? We will be buying optical targets, which both manufacturers can offer. And we have no reason to believe that one has better (or worse) accuracy than the other. So the d...

No, CISM uses the modern circular 1989 targets.

Re: 25m Pistol Timer (new Android app with shot detection)
Looks like a great app! Unfortunately I only have access to an air pistol range in winter, but I'll be sure to try it when spring comes along. I'll post some info on the app on the Norwegian shooters' website http://www.kammeret.no/ . Someone mentioned problems with shot detecion when using the app ...

Re: best all round pistol for olypmic style shooting?
I would not hesitate to get a Pardini. Provided the grip angle fits you, of course. All pistols need new firing pins, extractors and recoil springs occasionally. Just make sure you have spare parts on hand, and enjoy shooting a great competition pistol! And if you are going to compete in Centrefire,...

It's my guess that as long as we shoot 10 m we can safely assume that the Earth is spherical in shape. Now, if it were a 25 m range it might be another kettle of fish altogether...

Re: S&W 14-2 for center-fire pistol
Thanks! Slow fire I could cock with the off hand, but timed and rapid I think I’d have to shoot double action rather than keep changing grip. I used to shoot Centre Fire Pistol with a Manurhin Match 32, and I would ALWAYS cock the hammer with my left hand. You have 7 seconds between shots in the ra...

Re: Nutrition tips that actually work?
I often eat a handful or two of nuts and dried fruit before a match. I don't get full, nor hungry or hypoglycemic. Seems to work for me! The fruit gives me energy fast, and the nuts give me longer lasting energy.

Re: FAS SP602
Being a European precision shooter myself, I can confirm that the Pardini SP has become very popular over here. We also see quite a few Walthers and Hämmerlis around, as well as a smattering of Benellis, Feinwekbaus and others. No matter what they shoot, I always enjoy beating them with my old FAS! ...

Re: Grip fit
It should be comfortable without being really tight. Also, keep in mind that your hand size will vary a bit because of temperature changes, water retention and so on. So you may have to buy a slightly larger grip.

Re: FAS SP602
I bought my FAS 602 in 1995 (NOS). I'm still very happy with it, but in cold weather it doesn't like ammo that's on the long side. I've found SK Std Plus to work very well. The serial number is 11890-ish and I know of 2-3 pistols in Norway that are part of the same shipment and have been very good p...
