Thanks for the advice. I did check my glasses and my cheek pressure, both seemed to be fine. Seems as if opening the front iris to a 3-7 (pretty large for prone) and putting a yellow filter on has done the trick for now. Hopefully that will remain the case. Will be interesting to see what I can see ...

Scatt System vs Noptel

Just out of curiosity, does anybody know why the Noptel training system is more expensive than the Scatt System? ($2300 for Noptel vs $1600 for Scatt)

Why would you want to feed the rifle from above? Looks as if you would drop the round into the chamber, and the bullet would be affected from the drop. Also, wonder how much something like that costs. Probably too much.

Vision Problems

I'll try to post some pictures next week. I went to practice on Thursday, with a raised position I had shot with once to see if it made a difference on how I saw. I tried putting the cheekpice on my cheekbone (to get rid of flapping skin) but I stopped shortly because it would not work comfortably a...

Shooting Stand

I would have to say the Champions Choice stand is very nice and sturdy. Most of the people in our club use them. However, I have also seen a few people use the Bill Earnest one, and they look nice as well. Do not even consider one from Champion shooters, as it is a tripod base with 2 scope poles. It...

Vision problems in prone

My vision problems in prone are extremely frustrating. I use to be able to shoot mid 190's, and an occasional higher target (199 personal best) but now i struggle to shot a 190. I have 20 20 vision, but I have stigmitism. The shooting glasses I use (a pair of Knoblochs) increase the clarity of the b...

Multiple bull target

I would agree with shifting both feet at the same time. However, I have difficulty with the third column with left shots (the far right) on both targets, so i bring my right foot back just a hair (I'm a right handed shooter). A word of caution; make sure your cant is consistent. I have often found m...

Reply to Length of Pull

It seems to be my experience that most of the air rifles sold today have about the same length of pull. Personally, I have shot a FWB 700 (my coaches) but currently shoot an aluminum stock anschutz 2002. To my knowledge, the only stock that I have seen advertised with a shorter length of pull is the...

I contacted Centershot via email in early december (probably the first week). I was asking if they had a Kurt Thune combination glove (solid and top grip). I never received a respose, and I specified size and whether I was right or left handed. I never received a response. However, a guy on my shoot...

Type of sight

I can tell you that the rear sight is a Hammerli rear sight. The next question you should ask is whether or not it is for an Air Rifle or a Smallbore Rifle. I would go to http://www.edinkillie.co.uk/ecatalog/index.php to compare the two different Hammerli sights. I do not believe there are any websi...

Response to Risers Question

I would recommend Bill Earnest from Pennsylvania. He makes a variety of products (off hand states, free rifle and standard buttplates, palm rests, riser blocks, ect.). You can custom order your riser blocks for height, make of rifle, type of front sight, ect. I have a pair for my air rifle that are ...
