Have you considered the Steyr LP-50? I've found it to be just as accurate as my LP-10. Real easy to load too... just put 5 in the magazine, insert it into the pistol and you're ready to go.

Discouraged as in there isn't a particular pellet standing out as clearly superior to the rest although the H&N Finale Pistol Match is looking real good. Yes, the next logical step would be larger sample groups... as if it really matters since either pistol would always outshoot me even if the p...

Ah...ok. The H&N Finale Match Pistol were 4.50mm, the H&N Finale Match Rifle and the green label Vogel were 4.49mm. I could find no size designation on the RWS R-10 or RWS Meisterkugeln. Is this sizing similar to what would be used in centerfire pistol bullets? Fitting the bullet to a specif...

These were all .177's. Going into this little experiment I already knew that both the Steyr LP-10 and LP-50 would always outshoot me no matter what flavor of pellet was used... even if they were loaded backwards. The main purpose of this test was to determine which specific pellet to buy when it com...

A little pellet testing...

Did a bit more bench testing today and I'm really getting discouraged with the results. First I decided that I needed a lot more solid fixture than I'd used last, so this time it was clamped down to some 3/4" plywood atop some sawhorses. This turned out to be rock solid, I don't think the pisto...

Ammo for FWB AW93 ?

Just wondering if any of you have an FWB AE93... if so, what ammo does it prefer? Thanks.

Hearing protection

I've noted that hearing protection is more often than not mandated at any airgun event. Most airguns are so quiet I would wonder why? Not saying that it's a bad idea, just wondering about the necessity.

I've both the Steyr LP-10 and LP-50. The LP-10 has the superior trigger but isn't so hot at timed or rapid fire. Love them both.

If you already have a 1911 that you use for the centerfire stage then consider getting a Marvel Conversion Unit for rimfire use.

Yes, that works. Just screw the adapter in SLOWLY.

Haven't printed out and read the appropriate section yet, however using the same target for both slow fire and timed fire seems a bit optimistic to me. Of course I'm used to the normal NRA bullseye events, not ISSF.

My original purpose in buying an air pistol was to be able to get in some quality slow fire practice here at home rather than having to drive out to the range 4 or more days a week. I started with an Izzy 46M as it pretty much fit my budget at the time. Didn't take long to graduate to a Steyr LP-10 ...

Will have to agree about them being on the ugly side of the line. A bit pricey too. Glad to hear they are working for you though. I'm doing fairly well with a clip on iris... not much use when the sun goes down though.

Pellet weight ?

First off, I'm brand new to airguns so will probably have a lot of questions as time goes on. I just received a 2006 vintage Steyr LP-10 pistol and am rather confused as to pellet choice. About 99% of my shooting with it will be 10 meter bullseye off of my front porch so wadcutter type pellets are t...
