My Timed and Rapid Fire targets currently average in the mid-90's. It is my Slow Fire targets that need improvement... they are in the low to mid-80's. I generally take about 7 minutes of the 10 minutes allowed per string. My current goal is just to keep everything within the black... then start wor...

How do you like the Ultra Dot? I have one on my Hammerli 215. For the last couple of years, that gun's been hibernating in the safe. I absolutely love the UltraDot. I tried 4 or 5 others and really didn't care for them... too much flare in the dot or not enough control over dot size and intensity. ...

Well, atleast I didn't embarrass myself tonight. I had planned on going out to the range an hour or so early to get the red dot sighted in... just too cold and windy to do anything halfway serious outside though. Fortunately they always have a 20 to 30 minute "practice" session before the ...

First Night Out with a New Toy

Well I did it... retired my Ruger Mark lll "Target" and adopted a S&W Model 41. Actually the Ruger has gone to a new home as I didn't figure that I would be shooting it much any more and the extra money would come in handy. Picked it up this morning, mounted my beloved UltraDot MatchDo...

Same here... figured it out one day and it was cheaper just to buy the commercially printed targets by the hundred and have them shipped to the house. May have to reconsider though... take a look at the ones from Falcon Machining. Printing TWO of the B-2 or B-3 targets on a single page effectively c...

S&W M-41.... Fed 510's vs CCI SV

I'm finally getting a S&W Model 41 again, a mid-90's version with the 7" barrel. Will be transferring my beloved UltraDot MatchDot sight to it and found a set of Morini grips in what looks to be excellent condition. In a bit of a quandry as far as ammo though. Have 5 bricks of CCI SV and 9 ...

The UltraDot MatchDot is my first choice... the smallest dot at a lower intensity works fine for me.

Vitarbo Target Grips

Where do I find Vitarbo grips to fit a S&W Model 41 ? I'm about googled out and haven't found a dealer yet. Any help would be appreciated.

Model 41 Scope Mount

Time to put a dot sight on my Model 41. Will be going with the UltraDot MatchDot. Which mount to buy though? The Weigand at $30.00 or the Weaver #62 for less than 1/3rd that price. Is there really all that much difference?

My 63 year old eyes definitely prefer a dot sight... irons are just too hard to focus well.

The Rugers seem to outnumber all the rest combined at the steel shoots I have been at.
