JSB, thanks, I really cranked it down using a slot-activation implement and it cinched. Not an elegant design for something made by (or for) FWB. It essentially distorts the base to squeeze the dovetail. But it does work. Thanks for the tip.

Bought a FWB 300S, need tune-up on Left Coast
I just bought a FWB 300S in a pawn shop. It seems to work fine, but I'd like to have it tuned up and seals replaced (if required.) Where in the western half of the country can I get quality FWB repair?
