In California, believe it or not, it is legal to carry a concealed weapon in your place of employment unless company policy specifically says you may not.

I shoot AP at work almost every day at lunch. Luckily my local laws do not treat AP the same as a firearm, but other local communities do.

Re: K58 Vs 103

Someone said the K58 was an alternative to the 102 does this mean the FWB 103 is the king in this class pistol? I know there is a 102 for sale but have not seen a 103. Also if I had a chance to buy a 103 what would be a good price for a really nice pistol David F I have not shot a 102 but I think I...

It looks like the only difference to me, is the gun in the bottom picture is missing the barrel weight. The picture on the bottom looks like it was stretched a bit when it was cropped so the front sight holder looks longer and narrower.

Re: K58 Vs 103

Thanks for the replies. I don't think I will be shooting in matches but I will be using it quite a bit indoors and some occasional plinking. The deal with the trade fell through because I saw an ad in guns america for a K58 for $399 but no pics so I started second guessing the deal and the other pe...

Looks like list on the S200T is $675 new. Used K58's go for around $500-$600. I just bought a K58 a few months ago and it's a very nice gun. I don't have experience beyond that so I don't have anything to compare it to. I have never heard anything bad about the K58 other than having to charge it bef...

Re: Answered my own question, I think.

Reading the history of 10M AP on Pilkguns it explains ISSF scoring and now I see that a perfect shot through x ring would be a 10.9. Since I started shooting, couple of weeks I have been underscoring all my shots by ONE point. Thank goodness, I was getting pretty disappointed, especially from bench...

It figures this story is in the sfgate. I'm sure California will be using this story to fuel it's own anti-gun legislation.

Re: 100 Series and others

The 103 has a unique feature among SSP pistols. The cocking handle can be removed easily after cocking which makes the 103 among the lightest of APs. This may (or may not) be important to you. If your preference leans to more weight/forward balance, it is simple to merely leave the handle in place....

Thanks, the one I'm making doesn't have a spring loaded bottom. I just recently found out the way that they work. I'm making mine with the depth about half way, which I hope is enough for the pellets to fall in. I think they will fall in, but it may make removing the left over pellets a little harde...

Make sure you use a screwdriver that fits just right. If your having trouble with a standard screwdriver, stop because once it's screwed up it's too late. A hollow ground tipped screwdriver will work much better with less chance of buggering it up. That means the flats of the screwdriver blade are p...

It feels better to me to slide the mouse on a mat than across a hard surface. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks for all the great advise. I'm dropping down on the target now with good results and I've done it enough now that I'm pretty well lined up with the bull as it comes into view. I shot my second match and was much less nervous this time. It amazes me that my best shots are when I'm concentrating...

The puddy looks like Bondo body filler. If that is the case, paint remover will break it down and bubble it up. It won't do it all at once, but will soften a thin layer each time you apply it.

Germans think they are the best revolvers of the world, but such national pride is not unheard of among other nations either... ;-). Of course they are better than Colt or Smith & Wesson, but are they worth a multiple? Anyhow, lots of them on www.egun.de at any time. One just got to be patient....

I think I'm getting it.

I'm working hard now to come down on the target instead of up and I'm starting to see the benefits. It really gives me a chance to get my sights aligned well and concentrate on front sight focus. With practice and small adjustments I'm coming down in line with the target now. Thanks everyone for tak...

Shacker Box

I am making a shacker box at work and I'm wondering if anyone that has one, could measure the depth of the holes that the pellets go into for me? Thanks

It worked. I ate lunch 1.5 hours before I shot and I felt much better. The best I've shot yet. I shot 20 shots and averaged 9.35. I was just a little jittery but I also didn't get enough sleep last night. I have shot one match and I plan on shooting the California State Championship in a couple week...

Thanks for the help everyone. I was wondering why some days I was shaky and some days not. I shoot almost everyday at work during my lunch, but my eating habits are bad and often times I haven't eaten anything before shooting, including breakfast. I am going to test the theory right now and eat my l...

Few questions

1. Full or Empty stomach when shooting AP? 2. Most people I see bring there pistol up above the target and then slowly drop down to center. This seems to hurt me more than help. As I drop down I can't see the target because its blocked by the gun. I end up way off to one side or the other. If I come...
