Since we did manage to work in the FAS 604, here is a comparison I found on another forum. This is not mine and I know nothing about the FAS 604 except by reputation. I wrote that. I still prefer the 604 to IZH, by a country mile, but I enjoy having both pistols in my arsenal. I agree with other po...

Re: Pellet Velocity
Here in Canada there is also the issue of muzzle velocity; correct me if I'm wrong Canadian shooters, but an AP with a velocity in excess of 152.4 metres/sec and 5.7 j (500 feet/sec 4.2 ft/lbs) is considered to be a restricted handgun. Correct. You do get nice neat holes in a target at 500+ fps, th...

Do you shoot better in the day or in the evening?
I divide working from home and in my office in a university. I had gotten in the habit of shooting my 10 m 'garage' matches in the mornings, prior to working, but recently came home late from the office and decided to shoot a round at 10 pm. Surprisingly, I shot a personal best (536, no laughin', I'...

Re: Has anyone handled the new Webley Alecto pistol?
Yes, I think so. I haven't been able to play with one yet, but I don't think it will be replacing Steyr on the front lines any time soon. It does look like a fun 'can hunter' though, with more oomph than a typical pneumatic.zoned wrote:Another plinker influenced by the FAS 604.

Re: Torn Holes
Don't worry about the ragged holes if its accurate. Robin It is accurate, much more than I. I'm not concerned with being able to tell the difference in degree of various '10s', as I do not shoot at that level. When I say that I am 'tearing targets', I mean that I could shoot a 7 and the paper may t...

Thanks much for all the tips. I tried mounting a target this morning without a cardboard backstop and didn't see an appreciable difference when shooting through it. As for pellets, I was using JSB Match Diablo 7.3s and I tried the RWS10 lights; neither one leaves a clean hole. I recently switched to...

Muzzle velocity and tearing targets
I'm having difficulties with targets tearing during practice. I'm using an FAS 604 and even with 7 grain pellets and a cardboard backstop the holes are often ragged. The targets I'm using were given to me; the logo is 'Shooting Federation of Canada'. I tried an FWB 80 recently and it left nice neat ...

I am amazed at how insensitive some people can be. It is none of your business what he paid for the gun. If the gun is a good value to you, then you should buy it. I was amazed by your first post where you are questioning the value of the gun in a public forum. Do you not think the owner is not lik...

Looking to purchase a PCP pistol; suggestions?
Hi all, I am new here. I'm a farm kid from the Canadian prairies currently living in 'the city', and have been paper punching in my basement for the past few years, to keep my hand in, so to speak. I'm growing increasingly interested in acquiring a precharged 10 meter pistol. I have some spring pist...
