It would appear that these 3P championships are scheduled the exact same week as USA Nationals - Is that correct?

Thanks for all the replies - I feel better knowing there was an oversight in the rules and it wasn't just my lack of understanding. I did go to USA Shooting with my question and got the email from Marcus. Tyler answered in a few minutes and Marcus within a few hours - thanks for the prompt attention...

We must be the only ones left on the forum that still have to shoot on paper with no target carriers. Thought for sure someone would know the answer to this.

And that is my confusion - Season getting ready to start and I am still unsure. I agree that 25 minutes for 20 shots does not appear to provide "additional sighting time", as 25 minutes for 20 shots is the same amount of time per shot as provided for a normal match (50 minutes for 40 shots...

That was my initial assumption as well then I read the following: USAS 6.11.1.1C When more than one multipe bull’seye target can be hung at one time; all sighter bulls-eye on all targets hung may be used for sighting by the athlete. Once the athlete goes from sighting to competition, the athlete may...

Air Rifle Time Rules / Sighters

Looking for clarification - I have read the rules so many times I have confused myself (not hard to do). We shoot air rifle on paper targets without target carriers, we have 2 targets hung at a time. I believe I understand most of the rules as far as initial sighting and relay time but have one ques...

Disregard the above graphic as the dates and locations are not correct. JO's and CMP Championships will be conducted together at Camp Perry in June. Details to be posted soon. Selection criteria will be slightly different and a lot more individuals will be invited. The schedule was copied from the ...

Is that date for USAS Nationals official? At the banquet at this years Nationals they were talking about moving to July for 2014 and seemed pretty sure that is what they were going to do.

It appears that they will indeed will be separate events next year - The dates for the 2 CMP venues are already posted on their web site. It will make it tough to decide which match to pursue - We have to travel a long ways by air so more than one trip is probably out of the question http://i128.pho...

Colin said the targets were scored and the invites would go out next week. Just not sure where they are scored since they aren't on the Orion site.

From USA Shooting on how they did the 2nd round invitations:

"The second round invitation process was divided equally among the three different age groups (J1, J2, J3). The purpose of inviting different age groups is to continue the growth and development of the Junior Olympic Program."

Thanks for the replies,
Hers are 3 years old and are worn out - no tread left at all and she is sliding around. I wish we could wait until all the new models hit the shelves but it is not an option. Ordered a pair of Sauer's and they arrived yesterday - Too Big - back in the mail to try again.

Boot Options

I have a shooter needing new boots - Unforunately hers are worn out and I can't wait until all the dust settles to assure we understand all the new regulations. Any suggestions on boots that will hopefully pass the new regulations when they are all in place? She is shooting well enough to look beyon...

In my observation this years 1st round picks in no way represents the top shooters in the country - Just look at the scores - the list shows who shot the best in each state in one match and a few who met the auto qualifying score. Some states have several shooters scoring higher than numerous state ...
