Per the Rule Interpretations posted in the ISSF website, "Toes and heels with flat or square surfaces will not be approved." To make them legal you must round both the toe and the heel. This rule is effective beginning with the Munich World Cup later this month.

Try this. Take the bolt apart and thoroughly clean the inside of the bolt. Use a spray solvent based cleaner. Put the new spring on the old firing pin. Apply grease to the firing pin. Here is a good exercise. Spend 30 minutes a day just working on your hold. Don't shoot or dry fire. Just work on your hold. If you can, do it wearing just sweats and barefoot. If you work hard and stick with it, your hold will improve.

The closest thing to an ISSF match that I remember being held at the CSOTC was the 2009 Winter Air Gun Championship, which was also an MQS event for the Youth Olympic Games.

If I understand your question correctly, one answer is to paint the base of the sight off white. A way to test it is to put a piece of masking tape on the front of the sight base. That will give you a dark circle all the way around.

Remember that the maximum height for the front sight of an air rifle is 60 mm (ISSF rule 7.4.2.7.c).
