Which Olympic Pistol events are .....
First off I have nothing against IPSC, but it will never get into the Olympics because it's too much like "combat"; TOOO politically incorrect for a world that thinks that if you do away with all guns, people will stop the carnage that the simple minded murderers are determined to inflict ...

Why are the shooting sports "still sexist"
I didn't read all the posts here(I have terrible time reading a computer screen) but I can add my two cents. I'm aging myself but here goes. As a junior smallbore shooter I had the great pleasure of shooting next to Margaret once. Great shooter, greater experience for me. At the '74 worlds where med...

MG2 cycling
I'm one of those MG2 owners who will not sell mine at any price unless I knew I could lay my hands on another. Having said that however I must admit as I read on a post before I got mine that it is not for everyone. You must know more than just how to disasemble and clean a target gun. It's been my ...

To the guest who is trouble shooting his MG2: Sorry I haven't got back to you sooner(I had eye laser surgery to stem the effects of diabetes and high BP last week and it's been hard to use a computer). Seems you have the same problem that I had. Yes, I used a stone after using an emory board. I buy ...

RWS 22lr ammo
Maybe we should rename this post(?) ERod, Don't want to scare you but 711B is no longer being produced. I've shot a lot of this over the last few years in SB Silhouette and have had great success after running them through a Rim Thickness Guage. The good news is when they stopped loading 711B, they ...

RWS 22 Cal ammo question
I guess this is as good a place as any to answer all those nay sayers who downplay the value of Rim Thickness Gauges. While shooting Smallbore Silhouette I would turn some ordinary "standard velocity ammo" into "near match ammo" by sorting ammo by rim thicknesses. I found that wi...

NRA Sanctioned match Air Pistol
Sorry guys, I'm having trouble with my eyes(back to the Doctor today for more laser surgery). As usual a web address must be perfect, it's: www.tsra.com/NRA_Sub.htm Hold center. Alex PS got it figured out now. I went to the review feature on this page and noticed that because of the line highlightin...

You can view the same list that appears in USA Shooting Sports by going to www.tsra.com/NRA_sub.htm .
It's the official website of the NRA it's just maintained by some super folks at the Texas State Rifle Assn.

I would be interested in your continued assessment of your MP3S. I also located one (also on mag) and haven't bought it yet. I got some info about the gun on the message board at www.targetshooting.ca site. If you scroll down to the posts dated 3/15/05 you can view the info. The gun was $470 US and ...

International or Olympic Pistol in Mid Atlantic States
Try www.tsra..com/NRA_Sub.htm. It's the official NRA website of all their Approved and Registered matches as listed in Shooting Sports but it's maintained by members of the Texas State Rifle Assn. If you can make it up to PA at the end of June for the PA Intl Pistol State Championships go to www.wbr...

MG2 Struggler
I've put approx 4500 rds through my MG2 which I got from Don Nygord in Sept '04. The gun performed almost flawlessly for the first 4000 rds or so. At first I experienced the problems most have had: I learned to retract the slide fully and let it slam forward to insure positive first round feeding. T...

About availability:
Whoever is maintaining Don Nygord's site(probably his widow Donna?) has deleted Pardini and others but still lists Matchguns (MG2s and MG1s). If anyone is interested, www.nygordprecision.com.

Bisley range complex - UK
All this talk begs me to ask, are there any pistol matches that are open to the average shooter at this super looking facitity? I know the laws in the UK are imposing.....but While we're on the subject, does anyone have experience sandwiching a few matches into a European vacation?? That might be wo...

K-38 Mdl 14-4 sight question
Another option that I opted for years ago is to replace your S&W rear with a Millet rear sight. It has a true "target" blade (on the the Target Model) and, at least the older sight on my 14, allows for a center hold at any range. I also think it's pretty cost effective compared with ot...

I have a fourteen year old daughter who has expressed a desire in WSP. I thought that the Trailside Target might be an option. I'd appreciate any impressions that you folks would like to share. I'm sure the subject has been discussed before on TT but my Internet connection is sooo slow that going th...

New Walther SSP
That hole where the muzzle should be looks to be much larger than .32 cal. It almost looks like the weight which wraps around the barrel is extented almost like a false muzzle. The further out you can get that weight the more recoil reducing effect it should have(so long as it still fits in the box)...

RF matches in So. Cal
Bravo Alan. I wish more people who ran matches would take a leap of faith and try Intl pistol. Years ago when I ran matches in the midwest we used to run an "1800" that consisted of a FP, standard pistol, and an Intl CF course. We let shooters load magazines in FP and shoot .45s in CF. If ...
