Re: Walther LP500 source

Joe Hein elite Shooting Sports sells and services them. It may take a week or so to get one in stock. when I ordered mine it was in stock and delivered in four days.

Re: Review of Walther LP500 Expert

I agree that the LP500 is very well done (except the loud graphics). I note that LP400 Al cylinders can be used and wonder how much they shift
and add to the weight. They are a LOT cheaper than the C fiber.

Re: Solution For Tearing Target Holes / Tear Drops?

I am not trying to be snide but I consider the "good quality" and "National target" to be mutually exclusive.
It does help a bit to dry the targets out. A warm oven and storage in a plastic bag might help you out.

Re: Walther LP500; any good?

Has anyone got a comparative weight on the LP400 cylinder versus the LP500 cylinder? Aside from being a lot cheaper, I am curious how much the center of mass is moved. According to the Champion's Choice 2019 catalog both cylinders fit both LP400 and LP500. There is at least $60 difference. I bet the...

Re: Walther LP500; any good?

I have well over 500 pellets but not 1k through the LP500 and the trigger has remained very consistent. I am a little biased toward the fwb triggers both P700 and P8X but there is thus far nothing at all wrong with the LP500 trigger. I should have a couple of thousand pellets through it shortly...I'...

Re: Walther LP500; any good?

I do not have enough shots on my LP500 m to really asses the trigger. It is, naturally, very good. However, until I play with the adjustments and get a feel for the variety and degree of interaction of the adjustments I can't say much. Good trigger. The FWB P8x, has a really good trigger with ration...

Re: Air Pistol Speed

If cost is the limiting factor, you might try a good used "Avanti" (aka Daisy) 747 or 777. I have one pushing 20yo and it still makes me smile.
A Tau 7 run on CO2 cartridges may also fit your budget.

Re: Air Pistol Speed

The 400fps velocity is adequate to stabilize the pellet given a good barrel, crown and so on. the catch is the target. The NRA targets are so sorry that a clean hole is almost impossible to get at less than 600fps. Krugers are better but I like edelmann best. If you keep the kruger and edelmann targ...

Re: High Pressure Compressors

I bought a NARDI about 12yrs back. It has been very reliable but parts and service have become rare in the US. I can recommend the Bauer and the parts and service aspect have been good for them. Any of these are designed to fill tanks used for breathable air. That means you get clean dry air (if you...

Re: TAU 7 valve & spring issues / trouble-shooting help

Please forgive an off-topic but possibly relevant question. Is this valve and spring remotely similar to the mechanism of the Tau 8? My Tau 8 just now started to dump it's (air) cylinders after a shot.....seems like the valve is sticking open. thanks!
