I may have given he wrong impression; it's not difficult to set up or learn to use at all. I think that some - and only some - of the info that is generated is not self explanatory. To attach to your gun, shoot, and analyse for many common errors is very easy and very illuminating. I'm sure you've l...

I like it! Yes, it is expensive but so is Tenex.......I use it for .22 small bore rifle training. There are a few threads on here with info - the instructions are not very forthcoming on how to interpret the results. I know I have improved a great deal using it. Just being able to pick up the gun ev...

Top tip - investigate before posting! I tried the scatt again this morning and it worked as before! Well, almost. I noticed that the trace before firing was only about 4 secs long. I chanced upon 'Hardware Reset' in the tabs at the top of the page and......back to normal! So - for strange Scatt prob...

Scatt Piezo Failure

The piezo on my 6 month old Scatt seems to have failed. From needing a sensitivity of 3.5, I suddenly needed half scale, which worked for about 10 shots. Now the Scatt will not 'fire' at all. Has anyone had similar problems? I am guessing that this is a return under warranty job, but thought that th...

Thanks for the replies in his and scatt sections. I checked the light - not the cause of the drift. I then reduced the angle I face the target at from 15 degrees to 5 degress- i.e I tried to be more in line with a direct line to the target. This reduced the drift, most of the time, but caused the ov...

Thanks for your replies here and in Scatt - I'll keep trying! I'll have another look at the light source idea, although I have had the rifle in a vice with no drift - but in different lighting conditions.

Point of Aim Drifting

I posted this in Scatt in Shooters lounge, but I thought there might be some good advice here too. I've been using Scatt to practice hold steadiness. I've been 'aiming' at the target frame with no target, just to see what the gun does when I'm not adding input. I find that the point of aim - or, whe...

Point of Aim Drifting

Here's one for the prone shooters: I've been using Scatt to practice hold steadiness. I've been 'aiming' at the target frame with no target, just to see what the gun does when I'm not adding input. I find that the point of aim - or, where the barrel points, drifts to the right about 4 or 5 bullet di...

I have the 2002 version, which I think is very good. Is it worth getting the 2009 version?

Thanks to Dave A and 'guest' for the info. Does anyone know if you can copy Scatt files (without uploading to the website)? I just want to move my records from the laptop to my desktop, but the usual 'edit' button in My Computer/Scatt Catalogue doesn't offer a copy option.

Hi All, I've stumbled upon this thread having just become a Scatt owner, for training for 25/50 prone .22 rifle, and very glad I am that I found it. I too have found the lack of detailed information on Scatt frustrating, but hopefully someone will have some answers to my initial questions; For indiv...
