The size of the groups of Mcameron is not important but the % size of difference between the groups that is the important thing. Mcameron’s test shows a 9.8% increase in group size with damaged pellets. Pilkguns test shows only a 2mm difference between clean pellets groups and damaged pellets groups...

Hi Telecomtodd
What scales do you use for the testing? I have had a look around and there are lots to choose from. Is +/-0.2 grains an accurate enough scale?

Hi BartP I will put myself in the semi pro/pro category for now but I am working on it. Does you recoil follow the line of your cant now? Because you may have answered your own question. You should be able to see that with live fire on noptel. If not use a normal video camera to see the recoil, but ...

Rob This side road has been developed both by me and my coach and the technical analysis of the prototype on noptel has been very encouraging so far. I just wanted to know/check if it is legal or not. Thank you for the encouragement and I am not afraid to start over again if need be. I am thinking 1...

Hi Rob Thanks for the reply. But I can think of a few reasons to use or make a moulded handstop. If (unfortunately) like me you find many of the new (read: I have used many handstops) handstops very painful to use, making one is a good option. If you find a stock handstop that suits you then great, ...

Hi nhoj557 A $3000 Anschutz is of the "rack", But I under stand the point you are making. I think? a digital spotting scope would be legal. A camera been used as a scope to see where the shots are going is just that, a scope. Permissible use would be event specific of course. I am thinking...

Hi Tim
Yes for prone only. Am I right that the sling is only allowed to touch the rifle at the handstop, but if the handstop and riser are moulded to be all the same piece would that still be ok? It would just be a big handstop??

Handstop rules

Hi All, My question is, Can you make a all in one moulded handstop and stock riser to fit the hand exactly? I have been looking through the ISSF rule book and cannot find anything that says you can’t. Has anybody done this? Is it legal for ISSF? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am thinking 1...

Hi Tsokasn
I am not sure what torque setting you should use but 14Nm = 1.427603 Kg/m if that helps.

Hi Bart I like reading you posts they are always full of good info, I agree with you I have one of these slings and I love it, It's the best sling I have ever had and I dont think I have maximised it's full potential yet. because I take the rifle out of the shoulder after each shot I love the way it...

Nick I think you mean the 2016 Olympics in Rio. As to air con I wish, we dont have it at my club and in summer on the indoor range it's not much fun. no other form of ventilation either.

Target Height

I asked Jouni Hänninen from Noptel the same thing and he said that about 350 mm from the ground to the center of the bull is more or less right for shooting a 5 meters. This is the height I use with my noptel and it works great for me. The issf rule for 50 meter target height is 750mm +/- 500 mm yes...
