Re: ISSF Free Pistol

You did see that ISSF has added men's team, women's team and Mixed team FP to the world championship events list.... I suspect this is to get them back into the O Games ..... To get new events into the Olympics we would have to lose existing ones. The IOC want to shrink the Olympics, not grow them....

Yes, they tell us you are a better shooter than you are a photographer ;-)

By any standard, that must be considered an extremely good result.

Rifle clothing is a specific exemption with clear specifications set out in the rules.

I am locking this topic as one of the parties claims that he has "gone legal".

Perhaps the relevant parties could continue this off-board to avoid any further mud slinging.

It doesn't make any sense to risk all of the money invested in travel for matches and training if you haven't got an ongoing maintenance programme.

Helps with the basics.
Yes, I should do this more. Always surprised at the smaller groups I shoot when I do

Remember that if they're selling from France to US then they will not charge VAT (but you might have import duty/taxes)

Re: For olympic 10m pistol, how do people use up the entire 75 minutes for 60 shots?

It's worth remembering that the time for the 60 shots is increased to 90 minutes if you are not using electronic scoring targets.

If you haven't got any form of target changing mechanism, and have to "walk down", then you must rely on local timing rules as ISSF timing rules won't apply.

Actually, I like to shoot about fifteen sighters to settle in and also take a break after each twenty shots. Remember that, under ISSF rules, the sighters are completed in the 15 minutes before the competition shot period begins. Actually, you may shoot sighters for as long as you like. You just ha...

If you try to print an ISSF air pistol target on a 5 x 5 inch card then you would lose parts of the 1 & 2 rings.

Re: Inband Air electronic target review

Is that a practical consideration? How far does the paper move for air pistol, and how many shots per roll? I assume they can move it less for air rifle. Certainly on the Sius 10m systems we have at Bisley there is an internal rifle/pistol switch that alters the amount of wind-on of the paper roll....
