Ok folks thanks for your suggestions and support.
The problem solved, a minor re-setting to screw No4, although it did take a few more strips to confirm I had all parts clean, lubed and correctly replaced.
It also enabled a seal check.
The trigger pull is now crisp.

It sounds like you might have to get it looked at by an experienced gunsmith or the UK importer.

Only thing the manual tells you is . . . Did you make any adjustment to the velocity screw? The manual mentions that the factory set 150 m/s is needed to properly cycle the action.
