Biathlon training targets
I am looking for some basic training targets and came across these: http://www.metaltargets.com/SpinningTargets.htm Has anyone tried them? Anything better out there for a reasonable price? I also thought about getting some of these and try to build something to hold them. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Six...

Is it safe to shoot high velocity ammo in Anschutz rifle?
I was shooting last week when I ran out of my regular target ammo for my Anschutz Fortner 1827 I had a box of CCI Mini Mags in my range bag and decided to just try it. I dialed the diopter down and finished the box. The Groups were actually ok. Anyways, when I mentioned it to some of the bench rest ...

Dealer transfer to CA -procedure?
I am in CA and just bought a new Anschutz rifle from a dealer out of state. I wonder what the quickest way is to get the rifle. The local dealer told me I can't start the paper work until he has the rifle, which means it is 10 days from that date? Thanks

I got a Pelican case that came with my used Anschutz. It's a beast. I wonder if it's not overkill for most uses. Too heavy to take to the range. I would imagine flying with it is also a real pain as it would cost a lot in extra charges. Can't even sell it because shipping probably cost as much as th...

Rear sight Blinder?
I was going to order a sight blinder from Altius. (he just got new ones)They come in different colors. Black, clear and beige. For indoor shooting I would certainly get a translucent blinder but I am not sure for outdoor/snow etc.
Black maybe be better. Would appreciate any opinion.
Thx

went to the range today and tried zeroing from the bench and then switched to standing. As you said it was off but I was closing in until the wind picked up and I even felt the barrel being moved. At the end of my session all my shots were hitting way low, grouping but below the black. Even from the...

Smallbore - Newbie question
Have been shooting 10m airgun for a few years but just bought a used Anschuetz biathlon rifle. I was surprised how different smallbore shooting is. Now you have to deal with the longer distance, wind, outdoor lighting and recoil. I would be grateful for any advice that would help to make the transit...

Just bought a used Anschutz myself with the older stock. It's ok but not great. I ran across this guy in Europe:

I have been making copies at Kinko but wonder if there are any commercial paper targets that I can order. Can I use 50m or 50 yd smallbore targets?
Thank you

10m Air to Biathlon rifle - Stock fit?
Coming more from the 10m air rifle side, I finally bought a used Anschutz Fortner hoping to get more into biathlons next year. I am 6'2 and use a significant sight riser block for my sights. Looking at a lot of photos most biathletes don't seem to use any. How does the stock fit differ between the 2...
