The combination cost me just over $8000 australian dollars, but that included import duty, postage fee's and our country's goods and service's tax (GST). This was just the bare barrel and action no sights and the stock was basic options too, no buttplate or baseplate just the carrier and no handstop...

I may be a little bias as I already have this combination, but I dont think you can go past a Bleiker barreled action and Grunig & Elmiger stock.

Rajmond Debevec used this rifle to win the Gold medal in 3x40 3P at the Sydney Olympics in 2000. I believe they stopped making this version of the Unique not long after. The stock is a GE 600 which also is not made any more. This rifle was able to either be action bedded with free floating barrel or...

I had a look on there website and unfortunately I have no idea what it could be.
My only suggestion would be to give Gehmann an email and ask them directly.

Colin is quite correct, they only measure the overlap on the buttons which are on the jacket.
I only shoot prone and just use the top 3, the rest of them are removed due to the same problems.

I'll have to buy some new Lapua ammo and check again, but last time I used it (When the new Midas/Centre X and X-act came out) it was definitely a lot more dirty in my barrel then Eley ? But I must say, the stuff I tested when it came out did shoot pretty well.

Eley still uses wax to stop the lead oxidizing, unlike Laupa who now use a cleaner synthetic type coating. This only applies to the cleanliness of the breach.
Eley is by far cleaner in the barrel, it doesn't leave half as much crap in the barrel as Laupa/SK.

I would be more worried about cleaning the end of the barrel to remove the damp lead residue which over time will eatout the crown than the .1 of a gram of lead in the tube changing the harmonics

Just cut it off and make a new one slightly lower down or attach a little bit of flat bar on the pistol grip like the new pistol grips on the Precise stocks

Good point, although like the bleiker the loading port is very close to the back of the action, therefore you will probably find that the sight/riser blocks will be forward of the top loading slot. If your lucky and can have the sight further forward then you have two options for feeding, if not, yo...
