Thanks for the pics, Jack Frost, I also found them interesting. My Baikal will not last forever (or will it) so any data on high end bullseye pistols helps.

well Lammy nice try. I've been registered for about 8 years on this board. I've posted many times before, logged in, and I will post long after this pissing match fades away. I guess I could adopt your lifetime of mediocrity attitude instead I've tried to accel. I've not shot a million rounds eithe...

Easy Tiger. Some people are like me, that is, novices with less than 1 million rounds fired who enjoy hearing about all nuances from equipment to technique. Please, enough with the "wanna be high masters" elitism. By the way, what's with the "guest" ...can't you register?

I think it is a shame that a fairly young shooter as myself that has incredible respect for shooting sports and a touch of natural ability will not be shooting centerfire anytime soon due the cost of an accurized 1911. Still amazed...accurizing a 1911 to the level needed is like making a rock crawle...

Alternative to 1911 for Accurate .45

Shooting every type of handgun that is accessible from my own Baikal IZH-35, Smith 629, Daisy 747, IZH-46 AP... to all the "trade-offs" my Godfather and I do at the range. Anyway, the stench of elitism to enlist a $2500 accurized 1911 just to shoot centerfire bullseye makes me wonder where...

New observation: I had a second sear spring fail due to corrosion weakening this item. My new, in the bag, spring has started to rust, so always keep a coating of oil on these Russian springs.

I agree. Real shame these are no longer imported...used target guns that I am not witness to their performance make me uneasy.

Re: Pardini SP

I have the opportunity to purchase a Pardini SP. It's a 1995 model , bought new from Don Nygord.and in mint condition. There have been a number of model changes since then . Is there anything I should look out for , pertinent to this vintage ? Thankyou in advance for any responses. As an aside , I ...

Baikal IZH-35...Again

I really enjoy shooting this pistol and it has proven to be 100%. This, after fixing the slam fires and broken 2nd sear spring. I never received the spare parts that new guns supposedly came with (2001 model) which makes a somewhat anal person such as I nervous. EAA has equipped me w/spare springs a...

Definitely try another ammo, but if you can't get support f/EAA then file small amount of material from face of bolt to increase headspace. If you don't have the confidence..no shame and don't touch it. Your gunsmith should be able to do this. I had the same issue and with moderate work have a 100% ...

I also had good experiences with EAA in terms of parts ordering.

Also, based on how crowded my local gun store was yesterday with people actally buying products, I only wish I had followed my dream of being a gunsmith / retailer.

Source for adhesive target repair centers?

Does anyone know where to find black target centers for practice? I have used these in the past to "repair" the bullseye area for practice targets, specifically 10m pistol.

Good luck. At the very worst it could need a new part (2nd sear., spring...) that should be available from EAA. Please keep us informed.

counterclockwise=out. This will increase sear engagement. Hope this works. This is typically a very reliable pistol after kinks are worked out.

Yes, that's the sear adjustment screw. Q-tip up the excess lube and test fire. Typically the sear adjustment screw would would not be "underengaging" sear in factory setting, but then again this is a Russian gun. Are you the original owner and have not tinkered with this gun? Is the gun cl...
