I'm sure they won't - straight away. You'll need to talk to them first, but I can't see why they wouldn't talk to you. Google Comber Rifle Club or East Antrim Rifle & Pistol Club.

The matches we shoot are indoor at a distance of 25yds, shooting off carpeted wooden ramps with nice soft cushions to rest your elbows on. The club is part of a closed league in N.Ireland. I've only joined the club but i know alot of the other members are also members of other clubs that i imagine ...

It's a plastic pad which cushions the backward movement of the bolt. It can deteriorate with age and/or wear, but is easy to replace.

one thing though if you run a lot of eye relief the end may intrude into your sight picture NOT GOOD David Funny, I'd have thought the opposite - it would be more likely to intrude with short eye relief. In any case, as you say, not good. You'd imagine the traditional anti-glare tube that travels w...

As an aside it is considered bad advice to 'keep grip' between shots. It is better to retake the grip on every shot.

They have it on this page.

Looks a bit expensive to me - maybe you'd get it cheaper if you were patient and shopped around a bit

PS I also see a copy on e-bay.

Looks like a straightforward Finnish Lion smallbore free rifle to me. You already seem to have a fair amount of documentation on it. Only unusual thing I can see is someone's substituted American sights for the originals. I believe they were made by Valmet, I would guess from c1950 to late 70's / ea...

It's the transitional model between the 1413 and the 1813, and is almost identical to the latter. Accordingly, it is based on the 54 action. They were produced from about 1977 to the beginning of the 80's

Anschutz 16XX

I had the impression the reputation of the X series rifles was based on the quality of the barrels, and really had nothing to do with the action and trigger changes. I came across a story recently that Anschutz, up to around that time, had been using a very good grade of British steel. They reputedl...
