Thanks, Clarence.

If someone could check the Contact request I sent a few days ago, I'd like a login to the site, so that I can view the scores.

Thanks,

Re: Desert Midwinter

Tony, Can you post the Service Pistol, EIC, and DR match results, along with team scores? This was my first trip to the Mid-Winter match and I had a great time. It was a very well-run match. I'll definitely be coming back again. And, please do something about the weather... Nothing but 80 degrees ge...

How to turn the outside of a cylinder

One of my FAS cylinders has been modified with a new valve. Evidently, when it was put back together, it was "turned" a bit. So, when the cylinder is screwed onto the gun, the logo on the cylinder doesn't line up properly. I would imagine that someone watching me shoot, might snicker... ;-...

In speaking with Raffaele at FAS yesterday, he stated that the Morini cylinders will interchange with FAS. You'll have to be careful with this info as well, since FAS has done an upgrade on their cylinder valves. I would think that the "old" FAS cylinders won't work. New ones will. Marlin

Raffaele also mentioned that a Morini AP cylinder should be the same as the FAS cylinder. So, if there is anyone on the north side of Denver that has some extra hi-pressure air, with a Morini adaptor, I may have to stop by for a quick refill, until my adaptor arrives from Italy. :-)

There are 3 things you must do to see if your Ruger can compete: 1) trigger job by a competent gunsmith, 2) shoot it a lot to smooth things out a bit (yes, Rugers are tough, but rough), and 3) systematically discover what 22 loads will provide the best consistent accuracy. Mine likes CCI Standard V...

Raffaele was a very nice guy to talk to. He is finding parts to send to me. For some odd reason, he was not able to reply to my email, as it was returned to him immediately after clicking SEND. We tried this while on the phone. I can send to him, but he can't send to me. Must be something about Ital...

Another poster told mye to contact Raffaele at Domino guns in Italy. Would you know how to do that? All I really need is a fillig adaptor for my FAS 609, CAT 10364, S/N 0040. Any thoughts on how I can contact him? Thanks.

I use the Burris Fastfire version of this sight. Weighs only 2 oz. Any idea if the mount is the same design as the Docter? Docter uses the same 4 pins & two screws arrangement, but I'd be surprised if the holes were all in the same place. The other problem (which is common) is that Burris lists...

I can't help with the Ultradot, but my wife and I both shoot SP's with a 3 MOA Docter sight. This is a configuration that Don Nygord used to sell. They are very light and don't affect the balance of the pistol at all. Unfortunately, the prices on the sights have gone through the roof in the last ye...

All of my auto pistols get cleaned and lubed with only 1 thing: Hornady One-shot Gun Cleaner and Lube (in the black spray can). It has a solvent that cleans, and a lube that dries in about 30 seconds. I use this on my 1911s and 22s, with good success. They really do stay quite clean as there is no o...

Disclaimer... I am a new AP shooter, and have limited experience with BE. It seems that when I practice the AP in my basement, that I get much steadier after about 20 shots. Seems like my shoulder muscles settle in a bit from being stressed by holding the gun at arms length. I've noticed this in BE,...

I'm not sure how to tell if my gun is an "early gun" or not. Still trying to find a manual for it. But, if I look at the frame, halfway between the cylinder and some unknown plug (in front of the trigger), there is stamped "CAT. 10362". Does that help determine an "early gun...

I just joined this forum, and saw this post... Thought I'd chime in regarding the Ruger MK II. I just participated in my first NRA Indoor BE Match and I shoot a Ruger. My score was 802-11X. I was OK with that for my first match, and I have a specific list of things I need to work on. A buddy of mine...

I just picked up a FAS 609 at last weekend's Denver gunshow, and inside the guncase, was a business card from Randy Bimrose. Supposedly, he had just gone completely through this gun and replaced all the O-rings/seals. The gun operates and shoots very well.
