air pistol compensators

I know many people would say that this is not a useful add on to the air pistol. In any case, I would like to address this to those who believe it is helpful. I noticed that the compensator for the Steyr LP 10 with a mechanical trigger is different from the one that comes with the electronic trigger...

Re: Please explain why this happens?

....It was very time consuming as I had to keep walking up to the target to look at every shot, but I think the process made me calmer. I shot a pretty okay group, two targets of twenty shots. I did not score them as I want to just see where I put the maximum shots are and reduce the error level. T...

Fjodor, I do not wish to start any unpleasant exchanges of words/thoughts. If I offended you with my comment, I am sorry for that. Let me just thank you you for sharing your opinions on this new gun which I thought may surpass Steyr's LP10 which I also have and which I believe is not much better tha...

Walther LP-400

If this is pretty much an accurate description of what the LP-400 is, then quite frankly, I am disappointed as I was looking forward to one that would be significantly better than the Steyr LP-10. I wouldn't trade it then for my LP-10 too. A bit more handsome, in my opinion though. Also, the filter ...

Squeezing technique. Maybe you squeeze the same way I do. My ultimate waterloo is that I don't have a smooth squeeze, the kind that you see on the ISSF videos where you will never notice the pistol going off except when you hear the sound, or when they bring down the gun after firing. When in those ...

Re: Pardini FP

Uhm, so, apart from the pricing "problem", how does the Pardini FP do in comparison with the Morini's, Hammerli FP60s and the TOZ FPs? There must be some reason why they are priced exorbitantly. Ron There is some bleating on the Pardini website about them making taper bore barrels. Maybe ...

Hi, A bit of segueing. I am able to do the entire shot process nearly flawlessly when I dry fire. i mean I know I "hit" the 10 quite consistently and am able to call my shots. However, most of the time, I squeeze very differently when there's a pellet/.22 bullet that I am about to fire. I ...

CO2 pistols

Hi. I used the FWB C20 from 1991 through 1997. It gave me very consistent scores and made my very best practice score of 581 with it. In 1997, I was sold, at a very reasonable price, a compressed air Steyr LP1 but couldn't really reach the scores I used to until I stopped in 1998. I sold the C20 in ...

pardini buffer

Thanks for the replies. I like the CCI, apart from it being most affordable and reliable. However, I was comparing the recoil/muzzle flip with another Pardini using the same ammo. I just feel that my gun's flip is noticeably higher. I did email Pardini and was told that this serial number reflects a...

Pardini Buffer

Hi all. My Pardini SP/RF has serial no. B12###. I was told that it need not have a recoil buffer anymore because it has a new slide design. However, I feel that the recoil seems more than the others (of similar models, using the same CCI SV). Does this really need one? If so, does the (green) buffer...

trigger shoe

I agree that the trigger shoe placement is, like the grip, purely for anatomical purposes. Whichever makes you feel most effective in delivering the shot would dictate its shape and position. As such, I felt that the original shoe on my LP10 is so that I feel a kind of "torque" when I pull...

free pistol

Just my thoughts. I have yet to come across "average" ammo that groups the size of the "8" ring at 50 meters with a free pistol. The worse I had using really cheap and inconsistent ammo was about 2.5 inches. Test your gun using a vise/clamp or; just to erase any doubts, ask an ex...

pp screw on the pardini

Am not sure of this, yours being of an older model. When I adjusted the trigger on my Pardini, I nearly could not find that screw too. Its a very small hole just right in front of the mount of the rear sight. Just insert the smallest allen key and turn slowly and feel it pop inside the screw. I hope...

LP 10 trigger adjustment

As an aside, my LP10's first stage sits on about 440 grams, and the let off is 516grams. My biggest problem is that of a creep between these 2 stages that is very discernible. Any suggestions?

How do these tungsten rods-springs work? If such rods were replaced with lighter ones, like from 35 grams each down to 20 grams, would the recoil dampening be just as effective with less front heaviness? Or lighter/heavier spring loads?

Porting the barrel would require some extra skill so as not to damage the rifling within the barrel. It might be much easier, as what I have done, to add a compensator instead.

Just my thoughts.

Pellet Prices

Hi Oz,

Many thanks for the effort of testing the pellets. You proved that it really is gonna be worth the effort to buying such. Thanks too for exposing your barrel to possible harm. No harm was done though, right? I mean it still is a mystery why the pellets are black.

Regards,

Thanks for the link on the pellet source, Shanghai Air Guns. Looks like their spring piston pistol is a rip off of an old time FWB model.
