Shots per roll for air pistol
How many shots do you get on a roll of paper in air pistol on Megalink targets? Trying to price it out to use electronic targets for an air pistol league.

Re: 3p new barrel - which one? Shilen, Lilja??
For future folks with this issue, you can try investing in a nice torque wrench and changing the torque on your bedding screws. This can save time and money over a new barrel or adding a tuner; time and money that can be utilized on the practice range!

Re: Young Shooter Advice
I used to run a program that focused on DE. There is nothing that forces you to work on positions from low to high, prone to sitting to kneeling to standing. Any kids that showed exceptional interest, a knack for shooting, or both, we would put right in standing for the exact reasons you have mentio...

Re: Two questions for experienced youth groups
I coach tennis full time and used to be very heavily involved in running and coaching junior rifle programs. The comments about being very forward with safety concerns are right on point. Setting expectations up front with defined consequences removes any question of your authority. Additionally, it...

Re: Can I save my club from itself?
Are there some action shooters with whom you could team up with to create some cross over? Me vs them attitudes encourage folks to choose one side or another. If you can find a way for folks to do both disciplines, you increase your starting talent pool. There will always be playful banter between t...

Re: Brown Ledge Camp - Looking for 2 Rifle Counselors
I worked at Brown Ledge for 13 summers. The Camp has two unique distinctions. First is that it is owned by it's alumnae, and second is there is no schedule for activities. The campers go where they want, when they want. So at the range, you do get kids coming for the first time, but much of your tim...

Re: A National Match Discussion
I look forward to the trip as I haven't been in about 8 years. I'm personally fine without covered firing points. Even with Smallbore's cover, add the Perry wind in and the cover was a pretty moot point. Heck, my best finish in Prone was the year they canceled the last 40 shots of the second day of ...

Re: A National Match Discussion
It's funny on some level about the firing points being covered because I remember taking a beating from HP shooters about us needing to have it. Our joke back was while we looked for the high ground to put our mats, HP shooters aim for the mud puddles. Shooting facilities have certainly taken a good...

Re: A National Match Discussion
I plan to attend this year after taking about 8 years off. I spent the first 25 summers of my life there attending smallbore with my parents. This year I'm going for CMP pistol weekend. Even if NRA Bullseye butted up to it, I wouldn't be able to attend. As a kid, I had a dream of retiring and spendi...

Re: Rifle guy with some questions
Thank you all for the advice. My wife ended up coming along to the Bullseye match today too. We both shot 22 only. The day ended well with an 87 on my last 10 rapid fire...with a miss. Pretty big learning curve for sure: 631, 63...with 7 saved shots due to feeding issues with my Model 41, finished w...

Rifle guy with some questions
Rifle shooter here thinking of shooting my first Bullseye match later this month, if not next. I have a Browning Buckmark and a Kimber Gold Match II I planned to use. Kind of hoping to shoot .22 for the center fire portion and just take some 0s on the scoreboard (and save some $ on ammo). The lowest...

SCATT Question
I'm wondering if there is a way to turn off the bull background in the shot window. Either make it completely blank or at least get rid of the rings of the bull. Thanks.

Paired Shooting Drills
I'm looking for shooting drills that can be done by a group of 2-3 shooters without coach involvement. I had the shooters in our program watch their partner's target and compete for points by calling their shots correctly. One point for direction (clock system), one point for value, and an automatic...
