A few anschutz 1411 questions
I just purchased an old 1411 and i have a few questions about it. firstly i noticed when you dry fire it the bolt rotates slightly. should this happen. i can imagine the bolt moving while firing would help accuracy. secondly im not a fan of the trigger at all. its not exactly light and it still has ...

Re: Trigger travel past break point?
interesting most top level air pistol shooters, which is the shooting event that requires the greatest level of trigger controll, either use and electronic trigger or a trigger stop to try and eliminate the drop off when the shot breaks. this is why electronic triggers are becoming so popular

Re: Trigger travel past break point?
see i agree with the above post. that is the purpose of a trigger stop.the trigger has a gradual increasing rearward pressure on it. if the trigger falls away to nothing then this induces unwanted movement and kills follow through. if the trigger stop is adjusted correctly then nothing should happen...

Re: adjustable cheek piece
Both the adjustable comb hardware sets I recommended above allow adjustment of the comb for cast. The screw holes mounting the cheek piece to the hardware are slotted similat to the Loggerhead design mentioned above. But as they aren't currently on the market, contact the makers and ask if they hav...

shooting mat thickness?
Purely because of availability in aus i bought a locally made shooting mat. It is made for fullbore/ palma shooting and as such it doesnt have much padding as its designed to be used on grass. Given there is a max thickness for mats does this mean more is better. I will put some more padding in but ...

And are the scores getting higher?Andre wrote:Very high level shooters like Sergei Martinov and Michael Mcphail still use the classic round 54 Annie's in wood stocks. But look at any Prone world cup, mostly Bleiker's now with a G&E thrown in for taste.

Re: Morini 162 muzzle flip
I solv ed the muzzle flip on my morini by removing the wood from the top of the grip and using a sight extension to sit again the top of the hand. The grip had a lot more rake and then I added an adjustable trigger. This ment the axis of the border is way lower in the hand. I have since went back to...

Re: Electronic or mechanical
I'd never go back to a mechanical. Every now and then I shoot someone else's pistol with a mechanical trigger. I always hate it. It just feels so unresponsive and kills follow through. Mechanical triggers are very rare in air pistol at a high level

What exactly is "lead disolver"? I have no idea if we might have something equivalent in the USA. The environmental types have forced bans on a large number of useful chemicals. I can't remember what I used exactly. A gun shop sold it to me. It took several hours tho where as a chisel too...
