Sounds like you started thinking................go back to the basics, including a blank mind. Oh yeah thats a big one. I cant not think so I have to pick 1 thing to concentrate on. If I think back on a bad shot then generally something else had popped into my head If I concentrate on the 1 thing a...

there are heaps of causes. staying with in your comfort zone. Lack of consentration. seeing everything perfect and then switching off at the last second. not following through, over holding, muscle twitches, trying to make it to perfect and trying to fix it if its not right, looking at the target an...

basically. No. One of the things you are experiencing is you are changing things and then as a result your scores are going up. secondly the grip isnt going to help you when under pressure. It is very easy to learn to shoot, not easy to learn to compete. You could have the most perfect fitting grip ...

Ok I guess I will have to clarrify a bit more. All of the cheap options are a non directional flame that requires you to hold the sight above the flame assuming the wind isnt blowing the flame sideways. I would also like to be able to use it for shooting general purpose machine gun matches. Sometime...

I must be missing something important. With candles and/or masking tape being so easy to find and so inexpensive, why do people go looking for more complications? Because masking tape and candles are crap. They are very slow to get a decent amount of black on the sights and if its windy they have B...

I sent an email to someone selling the supersmoker to see if they can get the carbide in aus. I already use Camphor when shooting air and free pistol. This is fine because I only need it at the start of the match. Id also like to be able to use it for shooting different things where I need to apply ...

Did you shoot better with this grip? Comfort and aesthetic vs. score might not correlate linearly. There is an old adage from an old Russian champ that he shoots best when grip is not TOO comfortable. Very interest in your description of the careful application of material to the third finger suppo...

I thought Id drag this back up seen as there is another thread on it. Ive just read the 3 pages and I find it interesting that no one has weighed up the pros and cons for people thinking of doing it. Really it soesnt matter which eye is you dominant eye. most people there is bugger all difference be...

Re: Applying grip pressure ?
I use what I think to be a reasonable amount of strength/force when I grip my AP; like a firm hand shake, not loose, far from a "death grip", but moderately firm. If I apply this handshake force to the grip as I set the pistol into my hand, I must keep applying this constant force while I...

I have a real problem in that my TOZ shoots Federal UM-1 better than any other ammo.....and I only have a brick left! hmm Id better actually test the new stuff. I had tested this in my toz which averaged 5mm for 10 shots which was better than tenex however I havent tested the new gold medal I hadnt...

I never thought of that. So there is 2 ways that affect how forgiving the velocity will be. Firstly lower velocity will be more forgiving than higher velocity for inconsistency in your hold and secondly, higher velocity eg rifle standard velocity will .br more forgiving to mistakes eg things that di...

Is there any correlation between velocity and how forgiving it is. Air pistol is so criticle with trigger controll because the pellet is doing less than 600fps. how much quicker do you need to go before the time in the barrel doesnt matter. I have access to millions of 22 shorts that I could use to ...
