Re: New world record on 50m pistol
Fair enough. A very odd rule tho that doesnt really fit in with the sporting world in general I don't think that it's odd... It's just a way to ensure that the standards are keeped. You can look at a club match and a country's national championship for reference. At the national championship the st...

Re: New world record on 50m pistol
Absolutely agree. Personally I like how Melentiev's aggregate group looks on paper. If I was Jin the 1st 8 would've got me thinking, "oh shoot there goes my chance of breaking 580" and the 2nd 8 "Damn there goes 570" lol. Also, Melentiev was shooting a less refined (not necessar...

Re: New world record on 50m pistol
He could become quite a good shooter ;-) Some flash-in-the-pan nobody shoots a fluke WR score witnessed by absolutely no one at an out-of-the-way match and you think that means something?? You're delusional. ;P A world record has to be shot at the world championships doesnt it, unlike just about ev...

Re: age
The thing that really gets me over this whole thing is why would anyone want to use a high powered weapon anyway? That is not your decision to force on anyone else. If you don't want to, that is fine, but don't tell anyone else what they can, or can not do. Using or not using a "high powered w...

Re: Anyone recently try Lasik?
Is there anything that can be done about the corneal scattering? My biggest fear getting it done would be I would end up with worse corrected vision. I would still use a shooting lense even if my uncorrected vision is good

Re: Steyr LP2 V LP10?
I'm thinking of buying a Steyr LP2. I'd like a LP10, but it costs around £300 more, and I'd really be stretching my budget to buy the LP2. I really like the look of the LP2 but I haven't noticed any of the top shooters using them at all. Is there a reason for this? Is the LP10 that much better, or ...

Re: Buy a new gun
Hey, 45ACP223. Yes, I am currently using a Steyr LP1. In spite of what you may think, I have nothing against PCPs, only that you can get equal performance (cheaper) using something else. As I explained elsewhere on TT, I got a fantastic bargain on one, so why not. I like new toys, too. Unfortunatel...

Re: Buy a new gun
Yes, myself (I made Master with a FWB 90) and Jay Shi (US Shooting Team, Pardini K58), but neither of us is using one at the moment. BTW: A Master average in the US is 6 points higher (558+) than AA (552+). That's the point of all this: you don't NEED a PCP to shoot high scores. If you want one, fi...

Re: Are there reports of catastrophic cylinder failures??
I think you'll find that it's actually European legislation which is adopted by EU countries. sorry, i do not understand. I can be wrong, but as fare as i know there is nothing adopted. What do you mean? This only empty carrying thing or the 10 years rule? As i said the first is at this time not va...

quiet a few of them do. Other wise you would see an even number of all tge top brands there. The perfect example is people shooting toz 35 free pistols. I dont think toz is paying thempoogi wrote:I always wondered do those high level shooters pay for their own pistols?Muffo wrote:nobody at a high level comp uses one…

Re: Buy a new gun
This is how I see it. Cons for an ssp They are unforgiving. they have slow pellet speeds meaning the pellet spends longer in the barrel there fore is effected by mistakes more They introduce more steps into ones shooting routine making for a longer process that is harder to do exactly the same ever...
