Fear not, our Moderator Spencer will severely chastise them by removing any coverage of the event.

2015 Walther LPM1 buy

"For the price I was expecting kind of a "beater", but the gun is immaculate. The grips are untouched and there are no signs of wear beyond a few minor scratches. Dave Johnson, who sells the occasional gun on TT, shipped the gun directly to Pilkington to have the seals (included with ...

Re: Over filling cylinder

I've found the cylinder manometers are crap, and besides being inaccurate, frequently leak. Unfortunately, you're stuck with them, but if you're buying aftermarket, you may be able to find cheaper, more dependable cylinders.

Re: Filling PCP air pistol with N2?

You're right on all points. I've seen this question before, so you may wish to Search here.

I DON'T know what pressure they would refill your nitrogen tank to, so beware of that.

I always thought this would be a good idea myself.

Re: Air Pistol and the 11 ring

j-team and Pirate John are right. I think this is where the confusion comes in. The 11 ring was never intended to be used for "eyeball" scoring, but rather to assist the electronic apparatus (however THAT works).

Re: Air Pistol and the 11 ring

Renzo sez: "There is no "11" score." https://fluentslang.com/up-to-eleven-meaning/ And he sez: "And inner tens were a scoring zone since air pistol started as a competitive event." Not so; I clearly remember when targets had NO "11" ring. So, NO I don't approv...

Air Pistol and the 11 ring

Back in the day, I recall the installation of the air pistol "11 ring". It was supposed to be an aid to decimal electronic scoring. I admit to not having felt the need to keep up with rule modifications, but I have been told that the "inner ten" ring is now an X-ring, used for ti...

Surely it’s not going to fall off.
Why the hell would you bugger up a spendy Rink grip? Use whatever cheap-ass grip you can find; you're going to kludge the thing anyway.

Re: gip putty or bondo

RMCA has it right, but I'll add a little. File on your grip before doing any puttying, getting rid of anything that hurts or is not aiding a good fit. The two-part putty epoxies are available cheaply at any hardware store. Get the kneadable single stick type. Grind some hard into the wood with your ...

Re: Sam/Anschutz M10 air pistol parts manual

Just FYI...

I emailed Anschutz about Anschutz/SAM 10 repairs. They quickly responded that all repairs on the Anschutz guns were done by SAM thirty years ago.

They had NO suggestions on who might repair them in the U.S.

I don't know, but a stronger eyepiece on your present scope may do the job (cheaper). Can you borrow one to try?

Hey Marky, I don't know how I missed this one. I wish you had PMd me. I have two of the adapters, so I surely would have lent you one.

I still have that leaky K10. If you'd like to play with it, let me know.

Re: Opinions on Daisy 887.

Save a few bucks; forget the scale. Put the cylinder in the freezer for five minutes, then fill. It is not critical and refills are so easy that you don't have to mess with it. So what if you get 200 shots instead of 220. I really doubt you will be shooting anywhere near that in a single session (or...

Not too long ago, there was a thread on rebuild for max velocity. Go hunting!

One thing I did notice was that you could get a velocity increase of around 20 fps by using RWS Meisterkugeln Blue (pistol) pellets.

Re: HN Match Green .177 leadfree pellets

The only reason to use these is if you are using a very low-powered gun. The price is ridiculously high for something that confers ZERO advantage. As far as "lead poisoning protection" is concerned, you will find plenty of posts here telling of the pointlessness of any mitigation efforts w...
