Re: Pellet testing

I have never played with the non-lead pellets purely because I'm really cheap!

I would really like to see results from the H&N Match Green.

BTW I see absolutely nothing to be concerned about re: lead. Just wash your hands
occasionally, you filthy animal. (Do a search on here.)

Re: Front post vs rear notch size?

Not quite the same as any of the above, but: I have an old Mauser military rifle that has a triangular front sight that shoots very high (the ol' aim for the belt buckle philosophy). I merely snipped the tip off a Zip-tie of appropriate width and height and super-glued it on to the front sight. Amaz...

Re: What's in your Range Bag ?

In one case: AP, glasses, pellets, 4 way file, very coarse sandpaper. The damn grip fitting NEVER ends.

In main case: S&W41, TOZ FP, scope, muffs, asstd. tools, ammo. lube, and a bad attitude Mister!

It's because of things like this that Phoenix RGC dropped them and went strictly NRA.

I voted for it, too!

Re: Anyone still using CO2 match pistols

Wow! What a great price! I always found CO2 to work fine until I moved to the Arizona desert. The range had pathetic air conditioning and the temperature was often over 100F during the summer matches. This would cause the gun to "lock up" until it was bled a little to cool it. It would sti...

Re: My Feinwerkbau P44+R10 Match+R10Match Plus

Keep doing the two target trick your whole shooting career.

Things change as you mature.

All those shots to the right are YOU jerking the trigger.

Bailiff, whack his peepee!

Re: My Feinwerkbau P44+R10 Match+R10Match Plus

Let's make sure you have a good zero.

Put up two targets, one on top of the other.

Fire 30 shots, only changing the top target every 5.

Change your zero based on the 30 shot hole, ignoring the flyers.

Do it again and again and again.

Don't forget the vinho tinto.

I think it would work very well for you in your situation.

Re: My Feinwerkbau P44+R10 Match+R10Match Plus

You need a couple of glasses of a nice vinho tinto before starting your match.

Called "wet shooting" here, it will settle you nicely.

For you point buying morons....

Here's a great quote by writer Ross Seyfried (look him up): Perhaps my most succinct quote is, “you cannot buy skill.” I firmly believe that. I began to form the opinion in my competitive pistol shooting days. At the time, and for quite a while I lived on top of the hill. I watched others, who were ...

Re: H&N High Speed Finale Match pellets

H&N pellets can be odd. Apparently, they sell "more accurate" pellets as rifle, and the rest as pistol. That's why you can get heavy pistol pellets and vice versa no matter how they're packaged. Don Nygord used to sell them as his "World Champion" brand. He told me the weight...
