Re: Morini CM84E or Pardini FPM?
Well, did you get the farkling info from Perkins? Sorry who is Perkins? Jeez! You guys; worrying about crap stuff like silly pellet diameters and such, while neglecting critically important posts! https://targettalk.org/search.php?keywords=farkling&terms=all&author=&sc=1&sf=all&...

Many CO2 cylinders don't have ANY date on them.
I had one company re-date my CA cylinders
Hint hint.

Re: Anyone still using CO2 match pistols
I still have an old Walther CP2 Match CO2 pistol. The grip and balance suit me well and the sights are great. Does anyone still use CO2 pistols in competition? I need to change all the seals and a valve and maybe Earls Repair shop is the place to go to. Any advice appreciated Those CP2 were (are) g...

Re: scores from Olympic tryouts
I think you're right about training stress.
Back in the day, we used to play with 'one shot matches". You ante'd up a buck and the 1st "11" or high score took the pot. You tried harder when your beer money was disappearing. Not really different from "Finals".

I was surprised to see how badly the Finals quashed some top scorers.

I guess there is a reason that the members at my "hot" club said "screw this" and opted out of USAS to stick with the NRA.

Re: Pistol Pellets: 7.0 gr vs. 8.2 grain ?
I had Don Nygord tell me that pellet weight didn't matter. My own tests tell me the same. You MIGHT need to change your sights ONE click if you change pellets. Why you would possibly want to do that during a match, I can't imagine. BUT, I have done it, shooting pellets that might be lying on the ben...

Re: SSP Rear sight notch
Yeah, right, like these bozos have a mill and diamond lap.
Buy a 3/16" chainsaw file at your local hardware store and file your rear sight into a half moon notch. The Russians kicked our ass for many years with this set-up.

Well, you can tell the guy had a BIT of good sense, since he threw coffee instead of precious beer on you. I once had a guy tell me he used light pellets because if he used heavy ones, his gun would "rear like a stallion" in recoil. (True!) Personally, I use light pellets because I played ...

Re: Bought a couple of air pistols…
Now everyone is going to want one. There will be endless pages of "will this gun kick my Steyr's ass". "I can buy 15 of them for the price of a Walther". "Why can't I win every match with one of these, no matter how hard I try." "Will the right hand grips fit my le...

Well, did you order some dedicated shooting glasses, or did you screw yourself up again with some multi-use contraption?

Since you ask: I was training with John Zurek one day. The point was to shoot ONLY eights.

Re: Free Pistol Shorter Front Sight
Not fitting grips is almost as stupid as buying fancy expensive "custom" grips that don't perfectly fit.
Putty 'em up; no one's looking at your damn grips.
Of course, if you're a Farklemeister then it's expected that the grips are glitzy.

Re: Does anyone use ultrasonic cleaner to cleaning guns?
You stuff a wad of them in your cheek, tonguing them to loosen dirt and lead flakes.
You spit one at a time into your fingers to load your gun.
As a bonus, the saliva lubes the pellet for extra velocity while cleaning the bore.

Re: How many DIFFERENT pairs of eye glasses do I need?
First, you need to get rid of astigmatism. If you don't have a clean, round red dot, brother you got it. This means prescription. Second, lose the progressive lenses. They WILL confuse you. Third, have your scrip made so that you naturally focus on, or slightly in front of, the front sight. Fourth, ...
