morini agent

Ít would seem not. I buy most of my gear (nearly everything) from Potter Firearms in Brisbane, Australia; I think they are the Australasian agent for Morini. Rob (Potter) is very knowledgable of the ISSF disciplines and his performance in terms of servicing, repair or replacement is second to none i...

For some reason I shoot better (more tens) with the Morini 162EI Short than I do with my Anshutz LP@. I have not been able to put this down to anything in particular. Both have Rink grips. I just put it down to the geometry and balance of the overall package. It sits in the hand and lines up very co...

slide recoil adjustment

Nice pictures jipe and very helpful information. Do you know if their is any adjustability in the severity of slide recoil eg return springs or pneumatic pistons with calibrated venting holes.

Morini CM22RF

Does anyone know if the grip is adjustable for rake and does the slide lock back after the last round.

I did the same thing. The wide trigger shoe on my LP50 has a better tactile feel about it so I swapped them. You do not lose anything by going with the LP@ (I have Rink grip). You gain the rotating front sight which makes it easier to quickly see if this has any effect on sight picture or alignment....

AR front sight height

Excellent photos. I note from the AR photos that the front sight is mounted very high on some of the competition air rifles. I thought the regulation height was 40mm between the barrel and front sight centrelines; could someone please clarify.....

I too go for good looks in a gun - hence my purchase of an LP@ from Anschutz. I also have an LP50. It would be nice if Steyr could make the counterweights a bit more elegant and less fiddly.

Rest assured that you can have confidence in the LP@. I have had nothing but joy out of mine since I purchased it two years ago. It's a delightful gun and an elegant piece of engineering. Excellent choice.

I tried to attach my medium size LP50 grip onto my Anshutz LP@. The windage screw on my rear sight got fouled by the upper portion of the grip. This is something you will have to check!

Wood is Good

It would appear from manufacturers brochures that air or smallbore rifles are about 400-600g lighter when equipped with wooden handles. John

LG380 is great

I enjoy shooting my LG380 more than my CA2002. It has nice weight, nice balance, lower noise, and lots of wood. All of these things outweigh the need for manual cocking which in any case becomes second nature and quite rythmical during a shoot. The lack of visible action motion at firing is a big pl...

barrel porting

Hello everyone,
Does the LP10 have the top of its barrel drilled (ported) in places along the length of it? My LP@ doesn't have them but I think my LP5 does.

It has ports on the muzzle end that vent the excess air upwards and outwards but not downwards. The discharged air is quite visible if you shoot in low light on a damp evening. I'm one of the guys who just likes to pull triggers and can get about 530-550 when I get my sideways movement under control...

Anschutz LG380 is great. I had a look at what I think was a 300S a while ago. Whatever it was, the action slid back on rails when fired which I found quite disconcerting. The LG380 also slides but is not so noticeable as it happens inside the main housing.

Thanks for everyones helpful input........question for Bob (Rapid): should the rake be adjusted so that the weight of the pistol makes the hand hang down to its natural anatomical end-of-travel, or should the pistol be held upwards or forced further downwards slightly. I get the least vertical sprea...

Sideways stability - how does one acheive it???

I seem to have my elevation sorted out (nearly always 9 or 10 in terms of vertical hold) but need advice on getting control of sideways swing - my shots are anywhere between say, 8 at 9 o'clock and 8 at 3 o'clock. Does the width opening on the rear sight have any bearing on this? Or the balance betw...

My perception is that the LP50 report is a little bit more muffled than the single shot LP@. I put this down to its shrouded ports. With regard to the mouse to elephant noise scale, it must be the little mouse noise that keeps giving me eights and nines. I guess if I had an elephant I wouldn't need ...
