Whats the best barrelled action for prone 2013 or 1913???
Considering a new 2013 or 1913 barrelled action, just wondering if the 2013 is worth the extra money?? The barrel indexing thing sounds like a real accuracy benefit. Any advice appreciated!!!

Hobby and sport
Its not so much the ammo cost that bothers me, its just a way of enjoying a hobby and competition/sport at the same time. My nearest fullbore ranges are 100 plus kms from where i live, my local smallbore and pistol club is about 30 kms. Just a bit more convenient thats all. I do think "Mediumbo...

Fullbore? Smallbore?
No its Mediumbore!! Not sure if this will be of interest to any, or the right place to post, but here goes. I have shot just as much prone fullbore as smallbore. I would have to say that fullbore was my favorite until we lost our fullbore range approx. 10 yrs ago. Then i turned to smallbore, while e...

Re: perhaps..
I hesitate to suggest this because it seems so obvious, but.. Realize that with diopters you need to have all three (not just the front two) rings centered visually. The rear diopter, as well as the front ones. It's quite possible to have the front sight perfectly aligned (equal white around the bu...

Not much precision really!
Luftskytter: A .22 bullet will definately be affected by a rough or bad muzzle crown. But rough is not the only problem. Some factory barrels might also have a tiny uprising edge exactly where the bore ends at the muzzle (as a result of a poor finishing job). I have recrowned two of my barrels that...

Fixing it when its not broken?
I say clean it when you discover the frequency of the evil flyers that start to creep into the group. Cleaning to often can cost you more ammo waiting for the barrel to return to the tuned POI. Not to mention 10s!

system gun??
Scott 75, furthermore to the training with air rifles, not sure if any of the top rifle gurus make like a system gun set up where you have the same stock for your training (air) rifle as you would with your competition rifle (22). I will do this myself one day when i have time.

Air rifle as prone training
Scott 75, the only way you may benefit from air rifle prone training is if the stocks of both were identical otherwise you may be training bad habits that could favour the air rifle not the .22. Stick at the dry training with the .22 it works for me!
Good luck!

2007 OR 2013 Barreled action??
Hi all, considering one of the above barrelled actions. Anyone got any information/experience with these beautys? Looking at them on the AHG website they look to have the same barrel mounting system, but do they? Also the twist rates vary from 1 in 50cm/66cm(barrel length) or 69cm(barrel length). Wh...

Trigger Blade DES69
adds033, good to hear your doing well with your DES/69 and with the custom weight sounds like you have it dialed in nicely. I have a Ultradot Matchdot mounted on mine and it is deadly accurate with CCI SV, CCI Greendot, Wolf MT which are my B/E favorites for gallery match competition. I was practic...

RF is benefiting from the move to use of the Standard Pistol? How did you compute that? I see the scene in Switzerland, and I hear about Germany, and there are far more people who have left RF than such who have started to shoot it. Last year's national champs, everybody who shot the qualification ...

DES 69
I have a Unique DES 69 it has done so much work that the trigger blade has most of the grooves worn off it! Never the less, it fails to malfunction, has never let me down and is very accurate when i do my bit. I absolutely love it, the only thing i done was make a better barrel weight for it, now it...

LP2 dry fire
..but there's one big deficiency with the LP2: you can't dry-fire it . That's strange; according to the manual on the Steyr website:- The cocking lever is pulled backwards (to a vertical position) and then moved forward again until you feel the first resistance. The letter "T" on the casi...

Re: FWB
When they were new, and they will shoot just as well now, all the world records men and ladies were held with them. It was 40 shot then but both records were in the 390's, Nina Stolyarova 391, I think, so the ladies event which is still 40 shot is only a couple of points higher now with modern PCP'...

Re: Steyr LP2 compact any good ?
I'm considering to buy a Steyr LP2 compact with a match grip (not the ambidextrous one) as my first airpistol to start airpistol shooting. I'm attracted by its light weight (780 gram) and reasonable price while still having Steyr quality. Is this a good choice or should I start saving to buy a full...
